Hi everyone, I have a 2021 Panigale V2 with 900 miles - bike is completely stock but recently I got a check engine light

The only thing I changed was I was taking off ducabike switches (CPPI13 - PULSANTIERA STRADALE PLUG AND PLAY - Ducabike & CPPI15 - V2 SCOCCA COMANDO GAS CON PULSANTIERA INTEGRATA - Ducabike) and putting back the normal stock switches on the RH and LH handlebars

Also changed our the Brembo RCS19 master cylinder to a normal stock one

On the right side, I checked brake light switch, throttle, and kill switch/starter cable.
On the left side, I checked the clutch switch and light/horn cable.

When I installed these switches the first time, I was cognizant enough to disconnect the battery. Unfortunately, when I was taking off these switches, I forgot to disconnect the battery

Any help will be greatly appreciated

No the first service was completed at the dealer - and they reset it, plus I am positive the service light looked different

This is the classic check engine icon in the dash at the top center

All my dash issues I solved with Melcodiag or following the computer method, reboot. In this case disconnect the battery for a while when try again

Disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it seem to have done the trick

I am still curious to understand why this happened in the first place

I will check out melcodiag, it looks like a pretty neat software

I’m curious how did you disconnect the battery? Is there an easy way to do so or do I just have to pull off the negative terminal ??

You have to take off the left fairing panel

Disconnect the battery holder (black plastic piece)

And then just using a Phillips screw driver, take off the 2 nuts (1 on positive terminal, 1 on negative)

Once the nuts are off, you should see 3 wires connected to both terminals, just move them away from the terminal
