Sorry, Even after reading the article I still need to ask.

WHO the hell is Chris Harris and why is his review so important?

One of the good car reviewers, and a spectacular sideway driver. Well known for whooping ... on rare cars the likes of F40, mclarens, etc. apparently owners are literally asking him for driving their cars like he "does".
Worked for Evo magazine, Drive, etc.
Plentiful youtube videos, and mostly are very enjoyable to watcheven if you are not a carnut.

Edit: ............now he made me wanting one....

Some commentator/tester who is famous for going sideways.
Well known in the performance car world. Most were surprised by him owning a 1299

Sounds like he bought it for the looks more than anything, that's usually what pulls you in - this bike can draw a crowd

Thank you Moot, appreciate your response on that. And a hasty one as well my friend! ;)
What they all said.. ^ ^ ^ ^

He's a very well know exotic Car "tester", especially known for his abilities to drive rear-engined Porsches quite well; he is also an accomplished racer, having driven at Le Mans. Mostly, he just seems to have the best job in the entire Universe. He hoons around in Paganis and the latest from Ferrari, etc., without having to pay for them.

I like the guy.

A photographer for Playboy at exotic locations might top it :D
OK.. In terms of pure fantasy jobs, I think you win today... Maybe official Scotch taster at Lagavulin, or Highland Park distilleries comes a close second. :D

I'd take the test driver over the photographer any day, at least you get to drive the cars....

you know, he's right about one thing - the suspension. This is by far the most compliant suspension I've ever encountered on a serious racebike. I'm accustomed to bone-jarring thuds on public streets (and if you set the suspension to "hardest" you'll get that too), but in default, it's quite pleasant actually, and yet it never feels too soft when I'm really hammering it.

But can that same compliant suspension handle hard track abuse as well, or does it need to be made one but not the other?

I keep mine in Dynamic mode, and when I tried it in "Hardest", it was truly hardest!! So on a smooth track, I think it'll be just fine!

On the street, I get the best results with "default". firms up when I need it to, compliant otherwise, especially with squat and dive. It's very nice to not have to compromise ride quality by setting up the forks for anti-dive, etc.

IMO he is currently up there for the top test drivers of automobiles.
Carlos Lago is another one.

Their videos are awesome. None of that top gear stupid stuff. Just pure performance reviews.
