Ladies and Gents Good Day,

Just wondering how people cleaned their Termi's, them being titanium and all. I have read everything from metal compunds to using vinigar and olive oil. Just wondering how Ducatista do in this regard.

Thank you very much!!!! :D

I've used WD40 to get stuff like tar or rubber off the body. Beyond that I've just used soap and water.

I believe any type of oil left on them will make them all a solid color. I dont have the Termis but do they turn blue? If so, I believe the oil will cause them to turn a dull brownish color.

Mine have not turned blue after multiple track days. They are still the same colors as the day I got them.

Great, thanks for the info. guys. MUNDMAN thank you for the recommendation, I will definitely check out Motorex Joker 440, I appreciate it.

I have been reading online of several different ways to clean titanium. Here is one I thought was pretty outrageous.

Step 1: Wash with soap and water
Step 2: Spray with glass cleaner and wipe down
Step 3: Wash in pure water ( no soap)
Step 4: Use a metal polish ((from jewlry store)(to remove scratches))
Step 5: Wipe down with either vinegar or club soda (to enhance shine)
Step 6: Rub with a small amount of olive oil or baby oil and wipe dry. (reflective finish)

Lol, I don't quite think the baby oil/olive oil will work too well, because of the temperatures reached by the exhaust but then again I guess you can cook some bacon maybe if you get hungry during the ride :D

The only thing I watch for on titanium is oil from my fingers on parts that get hot enough to turn blue. If you dont clean it before it gets hot you end up with fingerprints on the pipes.

The slipons have never reached those kinds of temps.

Yosh or 2bros use to give you a scotchbrite pad to remove scratches and renew the finish.

I remember that. It was a lesser abrasive version than the typical green pad. I think mine was a dark red. Good call, I'll have to dig around for that piece.

GT85 cleans and polish's all in one go , good stuff , takes all tar & oil spots of no problem.:)

I wondered my self? I use several different ones at work and green is one that I order. Puzzling...

I can't find my old one but couldn't and couldn't find on online to buy. If anyone finds one lets do a group buy.:D

I just cleaned mine with some soap and water. Used WD40 on the chain side to get some excess chain lube off, worked great. WD40 makes for quick work.
