Clear coating the rear fender

Have not but it should be the same as any other plastic or CF.. Plastic clean it with very fine/delicate scotch brite and it should adhere very well. May have to use a binder with it though..

any hardened clear coat (like the 2k/2 catalyzed clear coat) should be fine for the heat. Clear coated car hoods withstand the heat from the engine just fine...

I did with my carbon one, its fine but the heat from the exhaust caused a reaction with the middle lower part of the hugger. Not they you can see it but if you run your hand over it, its rough.

I know this is probably beating the dead ......... but it is kinda along same lines but on front fender. Check out pics of what he did to my matte front fender and what can easily be done to rear ones too (just cleared without custom paint though if you wish)

Also, this thread has MANY pieces done by Sean of CCR in case you wanted to see, he even commented here too if you wish to PM him?

Thanks, Gunn.
I actually had the pleasure of Sean painting my bike per your recommendation. Needless to say, that guy is aeons ahead of the competition.
