Does anyone have any experience with a panigale with akra system there?
Yes, they do have noise restriction - I was there last summer and what they did is find where your bike surpassed the decibel level allowed and tell you to not surpass that RPM. So if you hit the restriction at 9,500 RPM that was your restriction. You get one warning and the next time you are off the track. I am bringing both bikes, the FE has stock exhaust and is Euro 5, it should be fine. The R is full Akra, I may buy some inserts just to see if it passes.
I will check my Race schedule and see if I can make any of these days. I have probably done 100 + track days at NYST since 2013, only 88 miles from my house. my best lap their is a 1:29.7.. I have been Riding Loudon since the mid 90's and Know Eric very well , I Race with him now at some CCS events.. I would love to try the new track in NH. and will do my best to make it... Hopefully I see some of you at the track this season and will help you or work with you in any areas of need... Scott
Damn I am kind of concerned about this, its a lot of money and I do not want to think about revs all day. Especially if I am on the limit with DB baffles in
It is the single reason why I have not placed a full system on the FE - as a lot of tracks are conforming to noise restrictions it is less advantageous to put an aftermarket system on than not to. The FE will see Tamworth this year and as the list of tracks insert noise restrictions I am sure it will utilized more and more. Besides that the bike is no fun at all
Karl, I wouldnt worry a whole lot over it if you decide to buy the baffles. I have the same feelings as you about it, why go half ass around an amazing track that is dying to be ridden.
Thats why I elected to do a slip on only for my build. (Weight savings if its quiet enough and the option to go back to fully stock in under 30 minutes if its not) Im on the overly cautious side since it is an expensive track day.
But i wouldnt sweat it too much if you have the inserts. You can always email Tim from Fishtail and ask him for his opinion. Since he is running the event and is probably the most informed person when it comes to what bikes and systems will most likely pass Club Motos restrictions. He also has a Panigale, but i think with stock cans.
