Clutch Basket Nut Socket size

Anyone know what socket size is needed for the main nut so i can remove Clutch basket assy.?
 
Long Hex Nut 32mm.
You need something like this....

thats the size but it wont work. there is a special tool that keeps the basket from spinning.
if you use that it will fit but the clutch basket will spin making it useless . the tool is over 300 bucks
 
Thanks guys.
I already have a made up tool for holding the basket. Just wasnt sure on socket size before i rip covers off.

Nope, that's not true. I use exactly this nut and an impact wrench for removing the clutch assembly. Just hold the clutch while pressing with the fingers onto the clutch plates. Worked everytime I did it this way, no special tools, no problem.

You need some special locking tool if you want to re-torque the nut when putting everything back together (the Ducati tool is basically a plate with a couple of holes in it). Or do it like I do: use impact wrench and give it two shots, with locktite on the hex nut. Learned this from a Moto2 master tech.

Alternatively engage the highest gear and step on the rear brake while somebody else is torqueing the nut. I did it this way for the STM dry clutch.
