Anyone install these? Any tips or tricks? The top is obviously easy enough, but how’re you supporting the bike when installing the lower clamp?

Something like an Abba stand that lifts by the swingarm pivot or Bursig that has a frame adapter plate would work.

Hey man so if you have some rear set stands and block under the oil sump pan it's easy. Use the rear stand as well with 15-20 pounds of weight on it the entire front end will be free floating and bike stable so you can remove the forks and triples.

Just a heads up , I noticed they are the adjustable offset version . Dont be misled that "0" is std offset, from memory it is +1 bush, It would pay to match the two top clamps so you can choose the correct bush. I'm currently running -offset than OEM which gives more trail , the back end is raised to get std trail back

I've had my eye on adjustable triples for sometime my 959 has Ohlins at each end and the flat link and rod off a 1299 in the flat positions and it rides real nice both street and track. If I read it right the stock offset is set at 30 and some like your self prefer less like 28, with that said what are your experiences, settings tried and outcome. Thank you
Peter

My bike is only used on track, if you want some geometry changes for a track/race bike I can share, but for the road I believe the stock settings are really the BEST .

Just keep in mind the 28mm setting gives the bike more trail (more stability), requires more input to make it turn.

For bottom clamp install I use a strap around the headlight bracket or front of the airbox and hang from a ladder of rafters.

Nope you can remove the top clamp with no issues.
Thanks. First time I'm attempting this and I can't for the life of me remove the steering head (top clamp) . I've loosened all three screws, trial using a mallet and stick from the bottom of bike, pulling etc. It doesn't budge. I've seen videos that ring nut can be removed after so that's not holding it.

Any ideas / hints appreciated.

I have just used a rubber mallet and smacked it up from the bottom. Hitting one side then the other so it moves vertical as even as it can.

The stem nut or cap is under the top clamp. If to turn the bars to full lock it gives you more room to tap it from the under side.
