I for one never road the stock seat. i got the comfort seat from day one however saw the luimoto seat and wanted that bad so i sent my seat to lui and had them do it with the gel insert that gunny was talking about. took gunnys advice and waited till i road with it for a little bit.

sold my comfort seat only ride luimoto seat now. MUST GET GEL INSERT OR YOU ARE JUST RIDING THE STOCK SEAT.

I sometimes do, while approaching my curves or making an effort to give my jewels a break...but generally im half inch from tank...it relieves my wrists.

Comfort seat here and I like it much more than the stock seat. More pad and grip than stock. Put 2,400mi on it so far but the real test will be beginning Thursday with the ride to Laguna.

Hate to ask questions about my own bike, but what seat does the tricolore come with, race or standard? The seat makes me ride up against the tank, not terrible but I slide forward anytime I try to sit back.

750mi each way if we were to take the freeway but it will be a little further cause we're gonna run down the coast. I'll give a report after the trip on much the ride did or didn't cripple me.

18k miles on a comfort seat, including an Iron Butt/Saddle Sore 1000, about 2k on a race seat and an hour on both a stock an R seat.

Race seat is now my 'daily driver', but I'll probably pick up an R seat, too, just to keep my body a little lower on the track.

The race and the comfort seat, btw, are shaped identically. The two differences: material and firmness.

I sold my beautifully stitched DP comfort seat since it was collecting dust. Wasn't for me either. Now I have the "R" seat. Not as much grip as I hoped for, but better than stock. I used it this past weekend at the track with NO issues. Right height with moderate grip.

Comfort seat is comfortable on long ride but I find the Race seat almost as comfortable. Very happy with both.

A couple hundred kms a week on a roadie will make any motorcycle seat feel like yo mammas recliner.

No seat on a SBK can ever be considered comfortable. So, ride frequently to develop buns of steel or buy a rolling couch

well last yr I clocked over 8K miles on the stock seat and 2600 on the comfort seat and still..calluses aren't thick enough lol

Installed the DP race seat after 200 miles and haven't had any comfort issues yet. Bought a comfort seat two months ago for an anticipated 600 mile trip that has yet to occur. Been sitting in the box ever since. As soon as I have my bike back from the shop I'll throw my comfort seat on and give a real opinion on it.
