Comfort Seat or Race Seat?

This thread prompted me to switch from Race seat to Comfort seat today (I own both). Felt no different to race seat to sit on but more comfortable over 300km today, and aesthetically more pleasing so leaving it on :)

just a different spin for ya. either seat you choose, the added grip of the cover is worth it alone over stock.

Had similar findings with the extra weight on the wrist with both the comfort and race seats( similar height).Having said that both were an improvement on the slippery stock seat as I stopped locking my arms to hold myself in position.
My preference is the height of stock seat as you sit in the bike and the grip of the race seat. Hence, my race seat is currently being modified to match the profile of the stock seat.
Have to admit the profile of the seat on the 1199R looks interesting.

If you ride enough to firm up your arsch then the type of seat does not matter...works for me:D
 
Thanks for all the input on the seat options. It's nice to be on a forum with so many helpful members. :D
I picked up a comfort seat today when I was at the dealer. Still a few more months before I can ride but at least I have it.

I received a super offer to obtain the Luimoto Italian flag seat WITH the gel pads installed. Sent them my stock one and they installed the gel pads into it, and mounted the cool looking skin over the whole thing. Not only does this look great but those gel pads inside provide a great deal of comfort too!
This also drops you down a little bit back to stock riding position, which I really did not feel much of a difference on to begin with on comfort seat. :D
