I have some more aggresive SIDI boots for more aggressive riding in the mountains, but I'm looking for somehting that I can wear on a low speed commute that still works well with the sportbike positioning, but less need for armor and more walking around. I've been wearing just regular street boots, but looking to get a little safer, an in between from that and a race boot. There are a bunch of sport tour boots out there. Just wondering if anybody has found anything that they have enjoyed for a light use sportbike boot.

I am thinking about these......( let's see if I can post an image )

Sidi apex boots...

Those are nice, though I should have mentioned, I am still looking for a full height boot.

Ahh, I'll try one more time then. I use Dainese Axial Pro Black most of the time. Real easy to get into and out of, they have a lower shin and achilles guard. Okay, I'm done.

Edit: Forgot to add, I can walk all day in these. They also go under your pants, so you don't look too much like a power ranger.

Thanks for starting this thread, I'm looking for a commute boot also, I have the Sidi Doha now. Just thought I'd like more protection with a little higher boot, I'm not sure i want full height. I don't want to look like I belong on the track, but if it offers more protection???

I was going to get these for commuting under my jeans, but my leathers needed an outer, so I bought these in there outer version.

A* Fastlanes are great and are relatively inexpensive. They also come in a waterproof version:

Dainese axial pros - their best boot and protective as well. I use then exclusively on the road.

This is a full length boot that I bought for exactly the same reasons (I have a Sidi race boot). It is partially armoured but less obviously so. Very comfortable, have worn them on the track as well, they feel very secure with my Dainese leather pants.

The only downside I've found is that the top often boot is a little wide when strapped on so you'd need straight fit or bootleg jeans if you were planning on wearing jeans (no slim fit legs).

I've never bought from this store but there's some more info here

Not a problem since I am a straight male and, therefore, have no desire to wear skinny jeans.

I'm using these Joe Rocket street boots, didn't want to wear my Sidi ST's to work lol.

Alpinestars S-MX 1...very comfortable riding and walking.
Just watch out for sizing...they run one or two sizes too large.
