It seems like a lot of work. Don't get me wrong, but these are for racing, no? Lighter for handling, stronger for stopping and for more consistency of braking performance.

Who is going to spend several hundred Kms bedding these in on their track bike at the local speed limit?

Does anybody know how long pads last?

Has anybody used these on the race track yet? Would love to know what the experience was like.

Thanks.

My brakes were not touchy or sensitive at first, but rather wooden i.e. it did not react much when I exerted pressure on the brake lever. After several 100's of km's of gentle braking it is starting to feel a lot more normal when braking.

Once you get them bedded in correctly they will be great. Who ever sold them to you should have clearly instructed you to do so.

Good looking bike, keep it up and yes the exhaust is just fine. If you like it then that's what matters, Termis are boring and everybody has them.......

I think the bedding in the rotors part is the critical element of the break in period mentioned above. After pad material has built up evenly on the rotor, the pads just need to be heated through a cycle (if that). I used to bake race pads at 500 before track days (cars), just to be sure they were ready. Still had to heat the pads/rotors before an event to prevent splash.

I used mine on the track yesterday. They performed great with my Supercorsa SC2's, and provided more stopping power than I needed. They're also very linear in their feeling.

Yes, it is very important. You need to bed in the carbon rotors just as you need to bed in standard steel rotors. You can bed in the carbon rotors in an afternoon if you wanted to.
