Competition Werkes Fender eliminator

Ok, stupid question time... But can anyone tell me if the tail vents on the panigale serve an actual purpose, or are they more cosmetic? The Comp Werkes kit with the signal in the vent seems to imply that at least the guys at Comp Werkes think they are purely cosmetic. My gf just bought me this kit and I'm a bit hesitant to put signals in the vents (plus the comments about poor visibility).

I would say Ducati spent a lot of money and time in the wind tunnel to get the aerodynamics just right for racing applications but for the street it really doesn't matter.

Nice that is the missing piece for mine. I see your in Yuba city, if you ever head north to run 36 give me a shout we can attack the road together. Steve

Buy the integrated tail light as well. Makes it look MUCH cleaner. If you do, then you'll be left with those ugly stick in blinkers from the CW kit, just throw em away.
I emailed CW three times about inquiring to purchase just the plate to cover where the original fender is removed but they never replied to my requests. Oh well, my money will go elsewhere :)

It's between that or the NRC kit which I'm leaning towards...

Yep do the integrated. Have seen form and function and they look and work great. Go Red IMHO and at least not smoke as lights don't are not as visible.

^^ I agree with Sloopy. Stick with the red lens. The smoke looks awful IMHO and the clear? Yuck.

But why have turn signals that are useless during the day ???
There is an option available that gives you turn signals during the day and very bright at night, and you don't have to remove the tail plastic.

Not to mention the completely annoying and useless LED light that stays on after you turn the bike off for 20-30 minutes. The "steal me" LED.
