So i'm considering ordering the Carbonvani Bodywork and i'm just wondering if anyone has heard good things about it. Weight saving?...etc.

ScrapperX has the whole tricolore set n looks amazing. I never understood peoples concern with weight savings when it came to fairings. Fairings weigh hardly anything to begin with. I certainly wouldn't consider spending in excess of $5k to save a few grams or even if it was 1 or 2 pounds. Fairings are strictly eye candy unless it's track fairings. If weight savings was a concern, spend $150ish and buy a lighter battery n your weight savings would be greater. Better yet, going on a diet n losing 5 pounds is best. It's a free mod and can't be beat! :)

If you're after a unique and definitely sexy look, I'd say go for it but not if your purpose is to save weight.

hey double0 i told the op the same thing on another thread he posted about weight losing weight that is but if i could hit the thanks button on your post 10x i would noone could of said it better

My baby will get her CF tank installed today or tomorrow. I am doing it primarily for the looks, but I am thankful of the weight savings too. With the cf tank I am dropping 1.3 kg's in weight and gaining 2 liters in capacity.
My original fuel tank (as per my profile pic) has been stropped down to the ally, hand brushed, received the Italian flag colours (tricolore) on the top of the tank and all then clear coated may be for sale if I get a good offer.
Marco Casiani (who did my fuel tank) is the Ducatii Corse representative in South Africa and only works on exclusive bikes, Ferraris, Lamborghinis etc. His work is absolutely immaculate. :D

The average street rider couldn't tell the difference in weight savings. MotoGP teams spends 10's of thousands of dollars to save a few grams here and there because it all adds up in the end. The CF fairings I have (street version) is more for eye candy as DoubleO indicated, they do make race fairings. If you are looking to save weight there other better options for a cost to weight ratio you can do such as Lithium Battery, AFAM Light weight 520 conversion Kit DID ERV3 chain and light weight CF wheels or Magnesium, If you are looking for eye candy Carbonvanni is the way to go.

I'm not so much concerned about the weight. My main concern is the quality and finish. As far as weight savings, i'm ordering Rotobox wheels so that's my diet lmao

Hi Gunny

I can't tell you anything about the "outer" fairings of Carbonvani. I bought all big available outer parts from Ilmberger. Great quality, no need to drill, file or cut.

Unfortunately they do not sell the smaller things and the fuel tank.

First thing from Carbonvani i bought was the fuel tank: just terrible to install! No hole matched. They threat of the central installing bolt was out of line and wrong diameter. I had to turn special screws to make the whole thing fit. Next surprise was that their matte laque on the thank was not fuel resistant. Unbelievable! So it had to lacquered again by a professional.

Other parts I ordered and installed all needed some modifications as well :-(

So: From a quality standpoint of view Carbonvani isn't really great. What makes them a need to us is the fact that they build CF parts that nobody else does.

PS: Man, I love your bike!
