Don't know if you've already purchased one yet. What will it be used for? For me, the 1199 was the bike I'd wanted. The looks of the 1199 are at the very top for me. I love the "character" of the bike. Yes you'll hear this and that about which is better or makes more power. If you can even come close to the potential of any of these bikes then you are a much better rider than me and 99% of riders. Go with what lights that fire. As others have mentioned, that R will require more maintenance. And no chance I'd pay $25k for that bike. Especially when 1199/1299's with super low mileage can be had for a fraction.

Thanks for the great discussion guys. I put the 1199R idea to rest. The dealer just wants way to much money. I’m eyeballing a 1199 Tricolore with 5k miles for $17k OTD. I think that’s not a bad buy. The bike is in perfect condition. Any thoughts?
