Hi guys, was wondering if anybody has seen this before?
It appears to be pink and you can see it from the ride side, close to the heat shield. The bike is pretty new. Just around 1000 miles.

Same thing happened to me about a month ago.

Take in, they'll have to replace the clamp and o-rings on/in the coolant hose.(as it was explained to me) Covered under warranty.

My leak was a defective hose (the mesh webbing broke through the inner wall and wicked coolant down and out the bottom of the hose)...

My leak was from the thermostat housing which is apparently ABS plastic and bolts up to the aluminium head.
All replaced under warranty.
I did however ask to have the factory fitted clamp replaced with a screw band type to ensure no future leaks from the hose.

Thanks guys! If I may ask, how long did it take for them to fix it?

And how much longer can I ride around like this? I have put on 2000km (1250 miles) so far.
Temp seems fine. :)

i had similar issue, noticed small amounts under my bike after a hot run. All i did was take off all the plastic stuff on the left side and tightened the stock hose clamps and it went away. It is pretty hard to get at without taking the bike apart.

My Dealer had it fixed in a couple of hours -
how much longer can you ride? - depends on how much water you've lost? Personally I wouldn't risk it.

2013 1199R, 2 weeks old. :)
I am going to the shop first thing tomorrow morning.

Update, apparently they have to split the engine case. Didn't really give me much detail as to what parts they are going to replace. I am going to guess gaskets. Should I be concerned or splitting the engine case isn't that big of a deal?

Unless you have an issue with a coolant gallery leaking into an oil way or migrating through to a gasket and then to an exterior face of the engine, I am not entirely sure why they would need to split the cases. Coolant will normally leak from a known weak point, be that a hose or the thermostat or the radiator. Sounds a somewhat draconian approach, but let us know what they conclude from their findings.

coolant seeping out fat hose on left side of my baby. darnit!!!!!!!! need to get them to look at it stat! 8500 miles, just got service done not long ago too. Darn!!!
