I'm thinking of going to the MotoGP race at COTA next year in Austin in April. Never been to any big races so I am a newbie to the circuit and looking for advice on the type of pass and packages to buy?
I see there is a huge variety from a few hundred to a few thousand under the premier packages online.

For those of you who have been what do you recommend and for the package and any tips on the experience?

Appreciate the input!

Hola! There are at least three ways to enjoy COTA in my opinion.

First, splurge on the VIP package deals. For about $1,500 a person, you’ll get access to awesome suites, food, booze, views, etc. While $1,500 is a decent chunk of coin, it’s actually really cheap when you compare it with what F1 fans will pay for the same stuff.

Second, buy some nice seats. The seats at the start/finish are nice because they have shade/protection from rain. They also come with access to the Velocity Lounge. My wife camped out there because it has free WiFi, AC, cleaner bathrooms, access to food, etc. Other seat sections that are nice are at Turn 1 and 12. Ducati usually sells a “Ducati package” and the seats are at turn 12. The only problem with seats at turn 12 is that there is ZERO shade.

Third, buy general admission tickets. I love walking around and watching from as many spots as possible. I get bored sitting and watching the same turn. You’ll meet some cool people walking around too.

I’m with youpaiyou, I’ve been going for 6 years and the COTA vip pass is the best way to go. You get preferred parking, and full access to the VIP suites which is fantastic. If its too hot or rainy go inside and enjoy. don’t go with the MotoGP passes they are not as good as the ones from COTA

its amazing you will love it, nothing like seeing the best in the world ride the most amazing motorcycles in the world in front of you.

2023 COTA will be interesting for sure! With all the competitive guys out there. If Honda actually gets a good bike under Marc again look the hell out! lol

COTA is definitely a MM track. I’d bet on him to win the 2023 race even if the Honda doesn’t improve.

Very true. He’s fast for sure! And. Ow he’s feeling better than last year so it would be a great bet! 🏁🤙🏻

He could always pull a 2019 also and throw it out to the runoff at T12. He was 100% that year.
