Custom candy pink paint stealth black

This is where Ducati forums start to suck for me. If someone does anything to their Duc that's out of the norm you get comments like "rattle can" and "ghetto". That's complete BS!!! It's not for everyone, but clearly there was thought and skill behind the work done here. Personally, i'm not crazy about the hot pink color and the spiked bar ends, axle sliders and windshield screws, but I like the design concept. I particularly like the fact the he left the lower part of the upper fairing black (below the headlights). I also like how the black slip-ons blend with the all black lower half of the bike. There appears to be some new style Rizoma reservoirs installed as well, cudos!! This photo shoot wasn't really about the bike but from what I could tell the color was applied with some skill too. Overall it's not for me but it's nicely put together! I applaud you for doing something different and not riding stock congrats bro!!!

I buy Ducati's because of the Italian design. You could do that to any bike and there are plenty that can use it but the pani ain't one. I think the Italian aesthetic is miles above this redux. Was there skill involved? Maybe, can't see enough of the detail work to say one way or another. These custom shops butcher vehicles thinking they are skilled designers. Way more thought went into the original design, go get a BMW and do it... I may have a different opinion.

That's cool and I don't have a problem with that, and if you don't like this bike do like Wallaroo and just say no thx not for me. But to give such negative feedback like some posted here just sounds ridiculous and feeds into the "i'm better than you because I ride a Duc" stereotype Ducati owners already have. Not everyone believes this bike is perfect from the factory and even if they do, some just like to personalize their bikes. If there's something you don't like about this bike or any other forum member posted bike, how about people provide usable feedback. Simply saying the bike sucks doesn't help anyone; consequently you should just keep those comments to yourself.

Not my style, but I can see why it works for you. Fortunately, the only thing that matters is that you like. Life would be sooooo incredibly boring if we all liked the same things so more power to you my friend.

Even though I don't really agree with lardawge's position, it's impossible to have a conversation/discussion/debate when you can't construct a coherent sentence.

Now having said that, his inability to effectively share his thoughts in writing doesn't preclude him from having an expensive, exotic car. There are a number of (legal) "subcultures" in which significant income can be earned and being educated isn't a prerequisite. Of course that's the exception rather than the rule, but it is indeed true.

BTW, the way I went to the website and there is a 'Lambo' on the home page (only page). Maybe it's his... :)

There seemed to be both a mix of positive and negative comments towards the bike, yet the OP chose to focus on the negative, thereby allowing the stereotypical outburst ...... probably written while the bike was still red :)

Shame.

+1 I agree. Just say "its not your cup of tea" and move on.

KillerCaliKustomz: welcome to the forum and congrats on your panigale.

Looks like nice work. Custom, to say the least.

Not what I would choose to do but it is sure to be a head turner as the Panigale already is, as it is.

How many coats of clear and what base coat did you use?
