Ducati Panigale S model | Feel The Track

FINAL Setting:

170lb rider

Front Sag - 40mm total
Rear Sag - 35mm total

Front rebound at 17-19 best range
Front compression at 25
Rear rebound at 9 -11 best range
Rear compression at 15

Hey bigrich - I'm 220 so I'm real interested in your settings. The only difference I think is that I fitted a 100 spring instead of the 95.

So that's:

10 Front compression
10 Frint rebound
10 rear compression
4 rear rebound

Also just so,I'm clear, he removed nearly all the pre-load on the rear?

What did he do at the front if anything? Did he touch pre-load there? What is it set at? I know its hard to tell!

Did you try this in the meantime ?
Would like to know how this worked out for you :)

I actually switched from P to F and the bike feels more stable now, tracks a line better. Ive had the sag set but I'm still playing with various settings! I forget what I have now but I'm away from the bike so I can't check.

My biggest gripe is the way the front end behaves in tight corner with a lot of lean. I had this feeling like the front end was going away from me (although the tyre doesn't actually move but the bars feel like they are going to cross up a bit). Really hard to describe but if I could crack it I would be the happiest rider in town!

Does this happen when you are trail braking? If I didn't know better, and assuming you are not hanging on the bars like a Gorilla, I'd say the rake is too steep; possibly as a result of a tall rear tire, or short front. If the bike tracks out of the corner ok, then I would suggest pushing the forks down in then clamps 1-2mm (lifting the front a little and increasing the rake & trail). Anyone else have a thought?

+1

"crossed up" feeling probably means you're closed to 0 trail, at which point you would indeed fold the front.
