Just curious where everybody goes for service and if they are happy with the shop. Let me know if I missed a shop and I'll add it (if you can edit polls). I only included shops that are a reasonable distance from DC.

We should have this discussion at an actual meet. Just in case the dialogue gets heated lol. I know a few of us are passionate about some dealers vs other and have their reasons.

I take mine to Coleman in Woodbridge. I bought the maintenance plan when I bought the bike. Casey is the Ducati tech there and he is awesome in my book!

I go to Colemans in Fall Church, Raphael (spelling) is the only DUC tech and he is Italian. Great people and speedy service!

Are you not receiving adequate service where you currently go Captain? The "other" vote was mine btw. It does fall outside your area of operations though.

Redline Performance Motorsports in Yorktown, VA who is also known as Rexxer to some.

Will bite my tongue on the rest though it's all personal experience and first hand knowledge.

Raphael is great. He is officially Ducati certified. Casey from Woodbridge, I believe has gone to the classes but is not officially certified but is the Italian bike expert at his location.

Like Gunny stated, every customer will have different service experiences as each individual may have specific expectations that others may not care about. At least besides getting their bike fixed or maintained.

My location used to have a very bad track record for service quality but are now very competently staffed by bikers who care about their quality of work.

Maybe Germ is right - we can kick this around at the next meet. Speaking of next meet, when is it again? Now we've got Mr. Ko aka "ironbutt" in the mix wanting to do a quick little ride that starts in Winchester and goes to a nuclear power plant cooling lake (sounds like Springfield, eh?)! We'll have to drag him kicking and screaming into Starbucks I guess. :)

Speaking of meet. I will have my fender in hand next week so after that Im good to go for a QUICK ride or meet up at that Arlington Virginia Square location again.

That works. Let's regroup after your fender is installed and we can setup a meet.

Set it up Capt! Let's get a ride going just not next week I'll be terrorizing the midwest. But after that I'm good.

Let's try the Starbucks thing after Gunny gets his fender fixed. I think something easy and convenient so we can get as many people as we can to attend and then the guys that want to join ironbutt for a coast to coast can plan their thing while the guys that want to sit around and argue about levers can do their thing as well.

I hate to hijack my own thread, but don't want to post a new one. Do you guys know if this is accurate? I bought a bike in MD and the dealer said that because it was new I didn't need a VA inspection sticker for the first year. I have bought all my previous bikes in VA so they always came with an inspection sticker on them. I am thinking I am setting myself up for getting pulled over so am probably going to have it inspected anyway. Anybody know for sure?

Dude Id DEFINITELY stop by Colemans and have them throw one on since its VA tags. I think thats not correct for a MD dealer to say this, but what do I know? Better safe than sorry bro.

I hit the Shell near my house on the way home. I asked the inspection guy, but he's a VA guy so wasn't sure either. Either way, we agreed that it was asking for a traffic stop in VA to not have a sticker and even if you are in the right what's the point when it's $12.

As long as we are at least 20min outside of the beltway I'm okay with meeting at this so called Starbucks :D .

Okay so.... 10 days ago while out and about on the bike I made my last stop of the day before heading home. And wouldnt you know it, bike wouldnt start, just a single Click sound. So called my buddy who owned a body shop just down the street and he came and got me in his freaking huge truck. The next day I dropped the bike off to Duc Pond (20mins from my house). I was greeted by Bill at the service desk. He seemed a little taken back that I did not call ahead before dropping the bike of but said he would help me unload and get the bike in the shop. After 2 days Bill gave me a call to tell me it was the starter and gave me a price, said it should be covered under warranty but he still needed to get my okay just in case. I said "you bet, lets get her running". He told me it could be a little over a weeks turn around do to waiting for a response from Ducati and the starter its self.
Yesterday I received the "come and get it" call from Bill. He told me that after they got it running they noticed it was really rough. So they spent about a hour and a half trouble shooting the problem and he was going to have to charge me for the time. I'm thinking, "here we go, just find a way to make more money". He tells me that when the Termi exhaust was installed that got the 2 o2 sensors flipped. Suddenly it didnt seem like he was BSing me anymore. I got the bike with 900miles on it with the full pipe already installed. I was not able to ride the bike with the RPM under 4k, or it would bog out. I just contributed it to the break in period. It also would vibrate so damn much I felt like I was on a Harley, again thought this was just a V-twin thing that I needed to get used to.
So anyhow, I pick the bike up today and get it home and its raining and raining and raining, and all I want to do is see if I just got charged for nothing. Finally the sun comes out and I'm off. Right of the bat it was still hard to start but I plan to try a other things to remedy that. Once started I did notice that it was much smoother at idle. After about a minute warm up I headed down the road " no ...., there is power under 5K". Its a whole new bike. Smooth with torque, nothing I really thought was lacking. So turns out the guys at Duc Pond did me well. They didnt just get the bike running and send me on my way. They took the time to get it running properly. I really am so happy my starter went, I now understand the joy this thing brings. At first I was thinking its was fast but man is it rough. Silk on wheels and I almost missed it. Now I need to get this 41t on there.

I'm glad your experience was a good one!

yea when I think about how easy it would have been to get the bike running and just hand it back it makes me very pleased. That being said, be in a relationship long enough and there are bound to be some disagreements, but keeping them to a minimum helps for longevity .
