Is there still no simple way to output the data in a format (CSV?) that can be used to provide overlays on video?

I guess not… 🤣

Is the simplest way to do this only to get a different data logging device? What are people using to be able to produce overlays on video?

Use a GoPro with built in GPS and load the recorded data into “Track Day Genius”. It’s a decent little app with a good amount of choices in terms of data overlay.

Look on YouTube and you will no doubt find a few onboard videos where the apps been used.

I have an Insta360 with the 4K mod, but using cam GPS data doesn’t give throttle position and other bike data, which is what I am really interested in.

My setup, had all the same fights with data export with DDA for an overlay you are doing and gave up. Syncing GoPro to AIM data was doable but the above setup made everything pretty darn easy….except for the fugly mounting.

Been chasing down various rattles and wind distortion with he mic and I “think” I have a working solution for my trip to COTA next weekend. Will post the results.

The full AiM package seems the easiest way to do it. Not cheap of course and still not Mac-friendly as far as I can tell. The camera controller seems rather huge as well.

It would be nice if they had one box that collected data and video - it wouldn’t even need a screen, although I understand why they do it like that.

I thought the DDA+ GPS built into the bike would be really useful and it has good data but the software and ability to utilise the data seems rather poor. If very often does not pick up new laps as well. Makes me wonder if they cheaped out on the GPS… It’s annoying to have the data built in to my bike and not be able to use it how I want…

I think double tapping the high beam will set a start/finish line. My ‘15 bike’s DDA would fail 50% of the time to read that and provide 2-3 lap compound data. Haven’t tried the onboard V4 lap timer, went straight to this system….and 60 days later they came out with the new model, smaller and HD video 60fps…/palm face !

Prosa finally released the converter themself!
Small example in this video:

I've used this forum to find a solution for a long time, so wanted to update here also.

I looked on their website and didn’t see anything?

I asked that Instagram guy and he said the new Prosa software has an 'export to ANSI' option.

I don't see a new software version on the Prosa website. I downloaded again and installed again but it's no different.

I've asked where he got that new Prosa software from and hopefully I'll get a response...

Let’s hope the response isn’t a dumb Instagram video mostly of a dude walking.

He replied instantly telling me they had new software out that did this, but I’ve had no response to my question asking where to get it.

It’s the same person who posted the link on here, so I hope he isn’t just trying to get people to click on his video.
