Has anyone done the DESMO SERVICE to their panigale v4?

I mean, did you feel any decrease of power before?

Or any improvements after doing it?

My local mechanic says, most of the time it is not needed, until you start feeling some decrease on performance.

Specially on this new bikes.

I mean the DESMO SERVICE,

of course i have done all the routine services, I have 14,000 miles on a 19 V4S

Majority of all panigales that have had this service done have all come back to be within spec, even on heavily tracked bikes, basically an unnecessary job. Most do it to have records of maintenance but I'd say if it'll make you feel better about the overall health of your bike, then do it or get it done.

A mate had an 1198 that did 40k before desmo time, all within spec. I wouldn't sweat it if you go over 15k but Id be certainly be popping the heads off and measuring clearances, replacing plugs etc. Its nice work

Counter point. It's not a v4, but I did the desmo service myself on my '17 1299 (only way to know for sure it's done right, and I'm not being lied to.) at just over 15k miles. Every single one needed at least "some" adjustment, and one of them was waaay off. It had seen a few track days at A group pace, and ridden aggressively on the street.

Also, there was no noticeable performance difference before or after the valve adjustment even though they were out of spec.

Same here with V4. I don't trust dealers, so I did it myself.
15000 km, only some valves need to adjustment, but almost all collets were cut to four.
