Differences Between 2023 and 2024 V4?

Ducati Forum

Help Support Ducati Forum:

I picked up my 2024 Base Model yesterday in Nashville and just got it back home in Dallas this morning, the dealer did not give me a hard copy of the owners manual but said it is available online.

I want to get this thing out and ride it but first have some questions, the OM says to keep it at or below 7000 rpm for the first 1000KM, is the bike rpm restricted by the ECU until the first service or am I limiting it manually with the throttle opening?

I set the Ride Mode to RACE A and left the settings in default, everything dialed down to 1, I like minimum interference from the ECU.

I'll post up some pic from yesterday's trip to Nashville, super tired right now as I spent two days on the road driving from Dallas to Nashville, picked up the V4 and immediately turned around and drove back to Dallas, roughly 22 hours of driving time total...

The bike is not ECU limited during the break in period.
Thank you sir, what rpm limits are you guys actually observing during the break in period on these V4s? I just came back from my first ride and saw about 8000 maximum, hard to keep it below 7000 unless you are just putt putting around. As a general rule I ride my bikes during break in like I will ride them later, i.e. don't lug the motor, stay well clear of the redline, lots of down shifting with engine braking, vary the rpm constantly, etc.

Ride it normally, avoid lugging or high revs for more than a very short time and let it get hot then have a break, change the oil etc plenty of threads on break in. People have even tracked them during break in, they are hard to kill.
