Well, I put down deposit on one on an order that the original customer backed out of. Dealer says it's the fourth one and doesn't think he'll get anymore because Ducati isn't making anymore production runs. I don't know how reliable that statement is. I checked with another large Duc dealer and he said he can get ONE. I don't how reliable that is either. So at least I can look at one before deciding whether I want it in my garage or not with the first dealer. I can't believe it's not even 2018 yet and Ducati wouldn't make anymore of these 2018 FEs. Perhaps they want to get an early start on revamping their Panigale production line over to the V4........
I'll give you the name and contact info of my dealer if you want the one I have coming this week. I'd be MORE then happy to keep my 13R. With the discount they are giving me, would MORE then pay the shipping up from San Diego. My problem is, I like the new FE, But I LOVE my R

THINK its too late anyway to back out now. The buyer for my R just contacted me, he is full steam ahead. Loans approved, supposed to meet him at his bank Wed's to get the check. This thing BETTER be kick ..., to give up my R.....
It's absolutely worth it, the FE is absolutely insane. Everything a Ducati Superbike should be
I 100% agree with Kevin1199. I also have a 2013 1199R and the FE is such a different machine.

Tobtek, why not buy a leftover 2016 R if the 1299 R ends up not quite your cup of tea?
I'm sure the 1299R will be AMAZING. Just think the normal R's are Nasty (in a good way) looking. Think they could have made the FE look better. just my Worthless opinion. Think my carbon wheels will help ALOT. If it was the 2014 SL orange, id be more pumped.
Stopped by my dealer today. My bikes in the U.S now, only a few days away now. Looks like my R is going to new owner (forum member here) in the next day or so.......

Oh, I have been riding it. It's an amazing machine. Took these pics after I had the tires mounted and wheels installed. Looking forward to getting it on the track soon.
