Do you own a Valentino Rossi Race Replica Jacket?

Does anyone own one of these Valentino Rossi Race Replica leather jackets? I'm a big fan of wearing bright colors but wondering if the quality and features are top notch when compared to lesser expensive Dainese leather. I currently wear a Dainese Ducati 2012 Corse Leather jacket. I know I'm a walking Ducati logo. Would I look like a foolish wannabe racer wearing the Valentino Rossi replica jacket on my 1199 or is it all in my head? I would buy the gloves too.

I tired one on when the dealer had one, its dianese product so everything seemed made to high standards. If its something you like then screw whatever anyone else thinks, thats usually how I look at things.

Not that I have one, but I've seen them and the quality is on par with the Corse Jacket.

I've never been a fan of Rossi branded merchandise for me, but this jacket does look the business. As for looking like a racer wannabe, I say "who cares what anyone else thinks". If you like it, go for it.
 
I have the black and neon yellow VR46 Dainese jacket and love it. I purchased it from the Orange County Dainese store. Great quality and a fantastic looking jacket (in my opinion).
Big Rossi fan here..........
 
the jacket is sweet but i don't feel like i would have the skills to wear it as most people would presume
1199 + Rossi Jacket= Awesome Rider.

Good look with your decision the Dainese stuff is really good quality.
 
prob depends on where you are, around here you would have no problem wearing whatever you wanted.

I would think most people would presume we are awesome riders simply by riding our Panigale. Am I right?

who cares what people think! I currently ride this with my Tri and don't give a fawck! Jacket and helmet, cause in the end its going to save my skin and my head. Plus you're riding a Pani. I'm planning on getting that jacket as well and some guy asked me if I was still going to get it cause he left ducati, I replied "Yeah!". At one point he was with ducati and that's what he wore.

I'm personally not a fan of wearing Ducati gear, especially replica stuff. It reminds me too much of the Harley riders and their cute little costumes they all wear.

That is a really nice jacket and as it is current when you got your Panigale, it makes a nice purchase. I have a 2012 Ducati Factory polo shirt, not dainese although high quality.

I will not get my custom leathers from Dainese till Feb 2013, however they are one off and custom as it gets.
 
I have one and love it. Little loud, but that could keep you visible to others on the street. I was tired of wearing a Black jacket all the time and being a Rossi fan I decided to get one. Another reason to buy it was to keep it as memrobilia. I believe he wont be on the Ducati team again.

I have the non-Rossi version (Corse) - I use it for long runs where I'm pushing it as it affords more protection than my other jackets and I can't bring myself to wear a full suit on the road.
 
I respect Rossi for his skill and # winnings. I also like the colors of the Jacket. I am in the Military and we are required to wear bright color like yellow or orange when we ride. Usually we wear orange vest or some wear bright color shirts (no protection)...Actually, it is some what stupid rule since wearing protective leathers are safer when you do go down.

Anyway, this type of jacket will allow not to wear a vest, so this is a PLUS for me.

So, the rule is only to wear bright colors and not bright-colored protective gear? Sounds like the Army that I remember so well.

Correct. Most kids don't follow or take the required riding classes. Take ride around with shorts and t-shirts...:mad:

You can do both by wearing bright color jacket (textile). I wear this everyday to work with my 883 Iron but its harder to do with street leathers for superbike.
