Sorry to see that, but who the F parks their bike parallel to the F'ing curb??

Seriously....takes up a lot bigger foot print that way, don't you agree?

Why didn't you have it on the sidewalk if it was your restaurant?

Priceless idea in the land of the "silver alert".

but the bike was parked beside a big sign so he wasn't really taking up extra space.

Yes the big sign that was also not seen... Can't let your guard down if Fla for even a second. Too many silvers trying to take you or your property out

Felt like a punch in the gut when I watched it fall over. My immediate thoughts were not revenge but, how could I have minimized this from happening.

Naturally my next thought did involve a warehouse, ten 5 gallon buckets of water, a high back chair, zip ties, and an assistant to hold his head with the cloth. I'd have kept an AED and emegency airways available to prolong the fun. Not an intel mission but just for GP.

Makes me feel sick.

I hope you charged him at least $2500 for the meal.

Just a thought but is the bike even the original posters? It only says "my restaurant" not "hits my bike". Had to have it towed could've meant that was the outcome for the owner.

Anyhow, yes I would've been pretty irate if it were mine and I'd have had a few choice words for the guy.

Ok some replies,
I've have had anger problems in the past and have been working hard the last few years on control how I react to things, so this was a darn good test lol.
The old guy just didn't care. I had to go into the restaurant and ask him to come outside. He just didn't care. He said things besides, .... happens, like whats the big deal and no ones dead. An apology would have been nice. Cops just could not believe the guys attitude.
He was given a ticket and then the old guy got upset. He wanted me to get a ticket for where I was parked. Cop refused. My insurance company says even if you park illegally in Florida. The person who hits you is 100 percent at fault. $500.00 deductible is a bitch but I hope to get that back in time.
Now I had the OK from the Mayor to the meter company to park there. Parking in our town is hard to come by. Was it the best place to park? no. However the video does not really show how much room his parking spot has before it gets near the bike.
Parking on the sidewalk is out of the question.
Don't know the cost of damage but it's a lot of damage for just a tip over. Had it towed because the handlebar was bent down.
Everything is fixable, just a bitch as we all love our bikes and keep them so clean and cared for then someone comes and just doesn't care about your property.
Only real bummer is I loved riding to work. Helps clear the mind and the weather is perfect.
(oh video if from my surveillance cameras)

Just watched it again. Didn't see that the old F ran up on the curb as well.

After reading what else he had to say, I am surprised you did not bitch slap him. Those anger management classes worked!!
(can I come down and do it for you?....I don't want to control my anger!)

Based on the video and your commentary you and those around you should be very proud of how you handled a very stressful situation. It takes a lot of strength to channel the rage constructively.
