Anyone run the DP Track Body w/light inserts? If so, how is the fit and quality?
The bike would be multi-purpose street and track so I thought it may be easier to swap the oem street body and DP track kit vs. a full set of track skins.

Yup, I do, fits exactly like the original fairings, very good quality.
Install is easy, I am very happy with this kit.

I even think they are simular to the original bodywork but without painting.

any idea when it will be available for the 1299? been doing track days on stock bodywork and it's not fun

talked to them, they havent even started on the 1299 yet, it will be a while
i will buy the first kit that is available on the market, i dont care

DP Track Bodywork is the same as standard bodywork, unpainted. Perfect fit, no mods required. Fitted a set to my 899 track bike.

Assuming this in reply to me Ducky?
You spoke with the Sharkskinz Co and they said that?
Wondering why the 1199 sets would not fit correctly, did they say anything as to that? I'm truly shocked. IMHO they are the best aftermarket bodywork Co for so many reasons, and just one set I owned survived almost 10 years, 3 bikes, and 2 pretty solid crashes! I'm sold for life. ;)

Yes Gunny,
i have my go-to shop check up on them, and today i emailed them myself,
they got back to me right away, in the first email stating that they have not had a sample bike in the area to do the mold
i then asked them which part from the 1199 would fit on the 1299, they said as they cant confirm as of now, and will keep me posted... sucks that we have zero option right now

I spoke to Sharkskinz back when the 1299 was first announced and they told be that they would need a donor bike for a while to create a mold for the new body work. SS has the best bodywork PERIOD.

Wow. I totally can't believe they can't get their hands on a "sample bike" to conduct this! If iI had one I'd be stoked to let them use it for awhile to be their mold. Imagine the favors you could call in with them after hooking the up with that matter! ;)

Juice, oh I know for a FACT you're a true believer my man! And I'msure Sean at CCR explained all those advantageous reasons why their pproducts are the absolute BEST too didn't he? :)

I ordered my DP track fairing and tail kit from commonwealth motorcycles in Kentucky. They had it listed on their website and I called to confirm that it was actually for the 1299. They said yes so I ordered. They now say that it is back ordered until early August. So hopefully it is legit. I need to get on the track ASAP!!!!!! The thing was awesome on the mountain roads last weekend (hwy 80, 181, 226a, and blue ridge parkway in NC)!
