DQS - 6th gear

After the first 400 miles of use, I have noticed that the Quick Shifter does not work in six gear unless I roll off the throttle slightly. All other gears (including 6th down to 5th work) fine on down shift, as signified by the auto blip throttle. Just up shifting into 6th gear. Any ideas? I have a RB Racing module fitted but not their QS, just the stock unit.

2600 Miles on my 1299 never had this problem. No clue

I've notice if you're not high in the revs, it can be a little more difficult to shift into 6th. Make sure you're not lugging the engine when shifting into 6th and see what happens.

Yep that's a good point, over 5000 rpm

Well I am still running it in so I will wait until the break in period is over and report back. Bike has not been over 6000rpm, so that might account for it. Gears 1-5 snick in fine.

My Anni has just under 700 miles still. Shifting keeps improving. Only shift problem with both bikes now is 2-1 shift sometimes goes into neutral but only at low rpm using the quickshifter. No problems with revs above 5,000.

Yep, after it is broken in make sure when shifting into 6th you're above 5000RPM and it should shift like butter. But to be honest, the 1299 is geared so damn high I rarely shift to 6th gear, even when I'm on the highway i'm in 5th gear. really the only time i shift into 6th once in a while is to make sure I'm cut in the gear cogs properly.

When I shift into 6th using DQS it's a bit slow and I get to almost go through the fairing .....

Shifts up into 6th just fine for me with my RB race. I'm just about full boil when I do this on the long straights on the track.
