Not really :p They are both good, I use to have one of those Chinese levers until a friend brought me these 2 piece of jewelry ;) I can tell they are better even if at the end they both work fine.

so cnc aluminum from china is different from duca bikes cnc aluminum. i like how you determine its cheap. is your aluminum better? i know the curve of the lever you have is better? is that it? oh wait the foldable part goes up higher? no thats not it. something? give me something how your levers are better looking or better working than the ones i have. what makes it better cause you paid more? this isnt a knock off it doesnt claim to be duca bike its adjustable levers. have you held or seen in person the adjustable levers? i have seen and tried them all and guess what they are all the exact same stuff.

My distrust of Chinese products is a personal choice. However China has it's own quality controls or lack of. Check out this post. It's from your neck of the woods [NY}. I'm not saying this is always the case but it's not uncommon:

Five NY Firms Charged With Importing Toxic Toys From China - ABC News

At the end of the day it comes down to personal preference. I don't mind paying extra for the parts.

I'll pay for something that ....... works. Right now I'm very unhappy with Gilles and not happy with Lightech. Come to think of it, half of everything I've purchased for my 1199 has had something wrong with it. If this keeps up, I may as well start buying .... from China or Taiwan. Though their execs sometimes do produce some really unsafe ...., when they get caught those mofos are executed, not given a 2 year suspended sentence at Club Fed like they are here in the states. Hell, look at all the people in the US Coca Cola, Taco Bell and Paula Dean are poisoning!

I'd love to rant more, but I have to finish picking up all the flakes of black toxic plastic off the floor of my rented attic. That $100 Sidi rainsuit I bought lasted 5 whole rides before it soaked my ... and then disintegrated all over the inside of itself (and everything I was wearing underneath). That cheap one I bought at Kmart (probably not made in a 1st world country) for $19? It lasted years, doubled for snowboarding duty and would still be in use had I not melted it on a radiator.

Update: New $120 Rev'it Suit I bought today that's 100% waterproof is only 75% waterproof, so not only does your right leg get soaked, when you take off the suit it looks like you pissed your pants.

If this keeps up, I'm starting a Do Not Buy thread.
