I’m interested in adding the DucaBike line cooler to my V2.

The instructions say it’s plug and play but also says it is necessary cut the plastic covering of the oem rubber hose. I’m not sure what that means exactly. Has anyone done this install yet?

DC01 - LINE COOLER PANIGALE

Thanks in advance for any feedback and install experience.

i may take the plastic off this evening but the starboard side looks like there would be enough room. the port side might be a bit tight under the inner cover with the battery door.

imho, using G12 or 13 mixed to the minimum would cool better than the track friendly coolant. kinda hard to design a vane pump to be efficient over such a wide rpm range

Thanks. It looks like it’s going to be tight. I guess I’ll find our later this week.

I would recommend getting a set of Samco silicone hoses with Samco hose clamps and either engine ice coolant or VP engine coolant. But not the VP race engine coolant because it can freeze. Samco hoses says they will cool your engine by up to 20 degrees. And adding the Engine ice or VP engine coolant will drop it another 15-20 degrees. Getting the Samco hoses plus Samco hose clamps (if you get the Samco hose clamps with the samco hoses you get a lifetime warranty on the hoses) and swapping the engine coolant that came with the bike for engine ice or VP coolant will drop temperatures by a lot. I did that on all 3 of my bikes and they run nice and cool.

I had Docshop (I’m based in Atlanta) install the DucaBike cooling kit. They had to move the relays out of the way but other said it was a straight forward install. I’ll try to get some pics when I next removing the fairings.

Have you had a chance to ride the bike and see what kind of difference the Ducabike cooling made?

I did a few hundred mile ride today in the north Georgia mountains. Engine temps appear to have been be lower by about 5 degrees but the ambient temps are lower now so it’s hard to say.

I also installed Ducati Spacer’s heat shield which seems to have made a small difference but also hard to confirm given the weather only got up to about 70 today.

I’ll do some more testing and report back.

Im in the middle of the install, wondering how your shop did it with all the relays and and the plastic cover.
Do you have any pics by any chance..?

They relocated the relays and had to modify the cover. I'll try to get a photo for you.

Better to refill coolant thru the small reservoir, or directly thru the radiator top?

Sorry, I’ve not. I’ll need to remove the fairing and I just haven’t had time to mess with it.
