Pretty cool and it would be a great replacement for the Street fighter.

Not trying to bash you, I am just curious so I have to ask: why have you done this?
 
i did this couple of years ago or so when the topic came up in forum...it took me literally a few mins to do (if it was serious effort it would have been much cleaner and more developed actually)...

and how could u ever bash me with a question like that ¿ ¿ ¿ ¿ LOL

I like VAST's design much better than the ones pictured in the OP. The Streetfigther series didn't sell very well and model year 2014 is likely the last year for the Streetfighter 848. I've always wanted one but it didn't seem like much of a success in the marketplace for Ducati.
 
The problem is these new engine are not aesthetically pleasing to look at, and that goes for all the modern bullet bikes. Look at a 900 SS bevel engine they are art, or a Vincent Black Shadow, Norton Manx, even the oil cooled GSXR series engines. These new water cooled engines are marvels of power and efficiency but to me they look like lumps that need to be strategically covered with a few interesting bits showing.
 
This is the best 1199 naked rendering I've come across thus far, and perhaps one of the most beautiful naked designs I've ever seen. Unfortunately, I don't believe achieving this configuration would be feasible.

the frame defeats the entire pani concept! a step backwards no doubt...

I agree it is counterintuitive for the Pani, but for a naked it seems to compliment the bike's dimensions and aesthetics very nicely.
 
if D gave me a budget, i would recreate the airbox structure and make something functional and aesthetically pleasing...also, budget enough to play around with the engine and reroute the hosing, fuses, etc... it can be done, but will D put the resources into it ¿ ¿ ¿ even the SF was a budgetary compromise that in the end impacted the final vision/aesthetics....it can be done...
