Hey everyone! I need your opinion/help.

I got my bike about a year ago and I’m starting to notice some issues with it. After about 45 min to an hour of riding, my bike will bog, loose power, and wound go past 5000 rpm. I’d pull over, turn the bike off and on, and it would be normal again.

Also…. I’m suspecting the bike to run a little rich. It bikefires and the smell of the exhaust is a little off.

I am hoping to fix the first issue so the second issue will resolve within itself. Let me know!!!!

replace your MAP sensors dude...then report back. you can buy oem, or the 20$ ones on ebay or amazon. Ive used the amazon ones without issue.

while your replacing, pull hose off and blow some air through it..see if its clogged/pinched/reduced flow somehow. your limit of 5K rpm is classic MAP error signal.

Hey man,

So I ended up doing a lot more to my bike. Changed the spark plugs, which were at least .03mm out of spec, and changed the air filter. When taking off the tank, one of the breather tubes was off. I changed the map sensor and put everything back together. She runs, sounds, feels so much better than before.

If you know anything about the rear brake travel, I flipped the rear caliber right side up and bled the brakes. After bleeding, there’s a lot of travel before the rear brakes engage. I’m thinking about adjusting the MC rod for a little more pre load. I know if I adjust it too far, I can seize my brakes. I currently have woodcraft rear sets on my bike and MC return spring looks a little smaller compared to the others I’ve seen.

ok good news on the bike man! i reckon plugs and MAP sensor was your issue.

that rear brake is a pain to adjust for sure, and with aftermarket rearsets even more so...you are correct, if you adjust the rod too far you will have tension on the brake which is very bad. youll have to play with it for a while to get it right...
