Hello, hello :cool:

The Ducati 998 is more than 20 years old now, short on horsepower compared to modern superbikes and has at least officially never won the WSBK championship. So you might ask yourself the question: How good is it on track?

Let's find out:

how does it even pass silly German db noise levels ?
By inserting DB eaters into the Termignonis. It makes them more quiet, but at least preserves the character.

And I agree, noise levels in Germany are absolutely stupid. It's even worse at Sachsenring.

No, I mean I wanted to say something nice because you made such an effort to make a video, I appreciate that, video is great.

The bike is ...., I would never even consider buying such trash in 2024.

I saw one in Como today on the road. Just another two wheeler.

@panibadboy - you are nuts. 🤣

It’s still the most beautiful bike ever made as far as I’m concerned. There’s also something nice about riding an older bike - no rider aids, using the clutch, etc. The same things I love about riding my SportClassic, which is tremendous fun on the road with it’s 85hp, and the same thing that made me get rid of a modern 911 as I MUCH prefer my old 964 on the road.

The most beautiful bike ever made was the 94-95 916's. Utterly transformative. The front end of every bike ever built before then was ..... The stock wheels weighed somewhere in the teens so you had to run them steep. But nothing before ever before put all that thru your palms. My buds hated my 916 cause they kept having to look at the back of us.
