I never understood the whole specifying of paypal fees. Incorporate the fee into your asking price and call it a day. Much more simple and hassle free. To ask for a 3% fee from a potential buyer so you can make your couple of extra dollars is ridiculous and more importantly petty but hey, your FS thread.

You must be the same type of person who goes to the gas station and freaks out when they have a cash/credit pricing situation. Its all about offering the lowest price possible for me.
Tell me I'm wrong?

I rarely carry or deal with cash in general so your ASSumption would be incorrect. Saving a few cents per gallon may end up to savings of a quarter or half a dollar if that. Not a significant amount of savings to worry about carrying more cash on me to pump gas.

My point was, as a seller, you should already incorporate shipping and paypal fees to simplify things both for you as well as the buyer. No one wants to do any additional calculations (basic or not) for something they are buying. And if you're really going to risk losing a potential sale over a 3% paypal fee, then you're obviously not serious about selling your item(s). I'm 99.9% sure that if someone offered you $5 less than your current asking price for whatever you're selling, you'd sell it, thus making your 3% paypal fee irrelevant, which in turn makes it pointless to even mention it in your ad. If you were selling your bike and took a payment via paypal, then your logic would make perfect sense since that would mean the difference of a few hundred dollars and not just $2 or $3. When have you ever sold or been part of a purchase where you have paid or been offered the asking price of a sale on a used item? Hell, even brand new! Probably never. Majority of the time, in fact almost every time, the seller is much more eager to sell their item(s) more so than the eagerness of a potential buyer, which gives the buyer the upper hand to drop your asking price. I'm sure your previous sales transactions on this site alone is a perfect example of you selling something less than your original asking price which is far greater than the 3% paypal fee. Take into consideration any room negotiations and go from there.

I left well enough alone the first time you responded to my original comment but you felt the need to make a second comment to my original post, which is the only reason I'm responding to this. As I said in my first post, it's your sale. I'll keep my future opinions to myself.
