Parade Lap Rules & Etiquette
The following rules have been taken from RideSmart Motorcycle School's "Track Day Procedures, Protocol and Etiquette." These rules and procedures are in place to ensure the safety of all riders during both the staging and riding portions of the Parade Lap. All riders must sign a waiver at the registration booth that states they have read and agree to comply with the rules listed below when they check-in for their Parade Lap. A smooth, fun, safe experience is our goal for each rider.
Prior to arrival, please read and be familiar with the rules:
There will be absolutely no passing by any rider during the Parade Lap. The order in which you start your ride will be the same order in which you finish.
Speeding through the tunnel while entering the track will result in that rider being removed from participation in the rest of the Parade Lap.
Control riders will be positioned at the front and at the rear of each rider group to monitor all riders for compliance with the rules.
Reckless riding, such as swerving, excess corner speed, wheelies, stoppies, burnouts and all other stunts are prohibited.
Any lagging/stopping to create space between yourself and other riders to attempt speeding through a corner is not allowed.
This is not a race. All participants will ride a constant speed set by the control riders in the front and rear of each rider group.
One direction only.
Cameras will be mounted on all control rider vehicles and track cameras will be recording throughout the entire event. Footage can and will be used if an incident occurs. In addition, there will be 19 corner workers monitoring and recording any irresponsible conduct that puts other riders at risk.
You are liable for any damage to the track, yourself and other participants. Please be cautious and mindful of those around you.
In order to make the Parade Lap safe for all riders, participating in the Parade Lap under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is absolutely prohibited. DPS officers will be monitoring each participant and will not hesitate to issue citations or arrest those violating this policy. If you have any doubt whatsoever about your sobriety, please do yourself and all other riders a favor and do not attempt to participate in the ride.
We want everyone to enjoy a fun, safe Parade Lap. To make this happen, we must work together and use common sense while following these simple safety rules. Doing so will allow everyone to truly experience the track in a way it was meant to be enjoyed. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

so you'll get
-Reserved 3-day seat in Main Grandstand (Great views of pit lane, start/finish lines, and Turn 1)
-Ducati Island parking inside the gates at Main Grandstand-Trackside East;
3 bike bracelets for each of the three days
-Ducati Owners lounge access for Ducati Island package only; show your Ducati bracelet and enter the lounge where you can sit and eat/drink outdoors while you watch just feet from the start/finish line right up to the fence; plenty of room on the Ducati lawn to hang out or climb the stairs to the second floor to watch from atop the elevated deck; of course space is limited and it gets crowded on race day.
-Ducati parade lap on the track (after you sign up you'll get a pink bracelet)
-Check in your gear (helmets, jackets, etc) while you spend the day at the track; pickup your stuff by 5pm or so, end of each day.
-Ducati gift bag
containing a ducati red cap and a water bottle and laynard
-COTA Karting voucher included
-You'll have access to the Velocity lounge which is indoors (good for weather) and you can mingle with non-ducati attendees (meet other people, hang out with non-ducati family members, etc); big screen tv and concession food / bar with lots of tables and chairs; plenty of room for you to spread out your stuff, recharge your phone, meetup, etc.
-Ducati Scrambler rides, on the hour every hour every day, sign up for a 20-minute ride around the curves and Texas backroads with 5 other riders led by instructors on the Scrambler model of your choice. Limited space, sign up early for an appointment, fun to ride during the spare time between races.
-Pit lane tour, at the end of the day on Saturday, line up (get there an hour ahead) when they open up pit lane for you to walk up and down the area getting a peek at the garages and the riders and the crew; from about 50 feet away, you can spend a fair amount of time observing on your own. Many of the garages will display their bikes and equipment with open garage doors and you may get to get to see some of the riders. This is not a ducati only event.
And other things I may have forgotten.
Anyone can visit the Ducati tents where they have all Ducati bikes and models on display for you to inspect, sit on, inquire about. There is a stage with live music and a band and the current riders (JLo and Dovi) and the Ducati CEO show up. Also the onsite Ducati store will sell all the branded gear and accessories you'll ever want. If you're a huge MotoGP fan and a Ducati rider, no brainer if you're going to attend all 3 days.
