Hi all,
i am looking for some informations about the Ducati Performance Akrapovic full exhaust (i am referring to the first model with the silencers in the lower part of the motorbike and not the new model with the silencers in the upper side under the seat); in particular, i would to know if i can mount this full exhaust designed for the Streetfighter V4 model on the Panigale V4.
I have some friends who are selling this exhaust and they have the Streetfighter V4. I think it is the same model build for the Panigale V4 but i didn't find any specific details about it.
Anyone know this information?
Thank you in advance

Christian

There’s no difference between the two. The Panigale kit will include parts to remove the EVAP system. The Streetfighter kit omits these parts but you can figure it out. Later revisions of the Panigale install manual mentions that it’s optional to remove it.

Hi, thanks for the informations.
For EVAP do you refer to the Evaporative Emission System by Ducati?

Yes. Also called the charcoal canister.

Ok, thank you. My doubt was born surfing the internet on some online shops who sell these exhausts and i saw there are different product codes between the Panigale V4 exhaust and the Streetfighter V4 exhaust (and a little difference between the two prices); so i thought there might be a difference between the two exhaust (even if it seemed strange to me).

So in this way i can buy the Akrapovic full exhaust from friends who disassembled it from their Streetfighter V4.
Thank you so much for the informations

The different part numbers for SF and Pani mean that the ECU Ducati Performance Mapping that the dealer will install works only for a specific model. So when you get the ECU hardware you will not be able to get the mapping also.

Maybe the official dealer can map the ECU anyway, i think they (the dealer) have the map for both the Steetfighter V4 and the Panigale V4 independently to the exhaust (my supposition, i can contact the dealer and ask it)

The map is locked to the exhaust part number. You can ask but the dealer has no freedom here.

I can see some extra brackets on Panigale exhausts .What are they for ?

I don't know what brackets you're talking about. Can you post a pic?

There are only two brackets, parts 5 and 6 in the diagram below. 5 attaches to the rear suspension support on the left side and 6 under the rearsets on the right side.

It’s where 25 rubber grommet goes and it can be seen from right side of the bike(rear brake side)

The slip-on is different from the full system. The OP was asking about the full. I’ve never installed an Akrapovic slip-on, just the Termi.

The 25 rubber grommet is meant to keep the lower fairings from touching the exhaust. The full system uses them as well. It’s not needed on the SF slip-on since there’s no lower, so no bracket to hold it on.

Makes sense .Can the SF slip on be used for Panigale ?I know the other way around is definitely possible .Its just that extra bracket visible on the exhaust when Pani slip on used on a Sf .Not sure if the SF slip on could be used for Panigale? It will be great if we can use that .A buddy of mine is getting SF slip on for a good price for his Panigale but not sure if it’s going to be an issue .What do you say?Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.

I think you could make it work. The Panigale lower fairings have some foam sound insulation. I'd remove that and line the inside with some heat insulation tape. If for some reason it did touch the pipe it wouldn't melt to the exhaust. From the diagram you posted, there's another one of those brackets and rubber stops on the other pipe too. If it were merely a matter of a hundred bucks or so for the Panigale slip-on system, I'd probably just spend a little more. If he's getting a used system or a really good discount on the SF one, I'd try to make it work.

Something to consider is the Panigale requires different lower farings for the Akra slip-on or full system. The red section of the lowers are the same, the change is to the black plastic. With the slip on, there's an insert you use to plug an opening in the right lower.

This is the right lower with the cut-up for the full system plugged.
