I picked these up in the classified section from "DUCKYMAR". They were brand new and the transaction went great. Excellent dialog and quick shipping with updates along the way. Great person to do business with!

That said, I started the install and adjustments last night as I was excited to try them out. I have a few suspension adjustments to make then I will give a small review on the product.

I did have an interference issue with the Carbon Heal Guard against the Termignoni Heat Shield. I added pictures below to show what had to be trimmed and then an overall shot to show completetion.

Drove it last night and had to make a few small adjustments. I will dial them in over the next couple rides to get everything exactly where I want them.

Very easy install, good instructions and real nice quality!

I also added the Ducati Clear Tank Protector. Not sure I will keep it on yet. I was hoping to get better coverage of the exposed aluminum.

How is your rear brake light sensor? I put mine on this winter and in all my fiddling I can't get the light to come on when depressing the rear brake while still maintaining enough tension in the spring.

I set it up so the stop light comes on with any weight on the pedal at all.

There are so many adjustments to these rear sets I can understand your frustration.

The spring has 3 different positions to set the tension.

The platform bolt can be adjusted up and down to depress/release the switch.

The back side of the rear set also has an adjustment swing pivot for the push rod.

If you need any help feel free to call and I can help walk you through the adjustments.

Tank pad looks spot on to me.... at least its sticking..Mine peels constantly..The "carbon" one is garbage...

I measured it over and over and it is as close to center as I can get. I am just not to impressed with the look or coverage!

That why I haven't put one on, every one I've seen seems to peel. I also don't have the fancy polished aluminum R tank, however :)

I used alcohol prep pads and a heat gun and it stuck great. I just think I will be pulling it back off.

I also tried the Techspec grip pads for the tank and they would not stick at all. The grips didn't look right on the tank either so no loss. I e-mailed them and they wouldn't even reply?? I do like the knee pads from Techspec as they provide great grip and stuck great.

Here are a few better pics of the Techspec knee grip pads. I love the way they feel and look. Thanks for looking and I always appreciate the replies.

Is there a reason you didn't fit the tank grips also???

The tank grips were huge and they wouldn't stick after about 2 days, too many compound angles. They started lifting on the edges and grit was getting between them and the paint. I really didn't like the way they looked either so no big deal.

I sent them an e-mail explaining the adhesion issue and they didn't even reply to me?

My OCD was getting to me on the DP Tank protector so I pulled it off and threw it away. Much Better!!

How much higher are the DP rear sets on the lowest setting vs stock? I love the DP rear sets but I am 6'4" and I don't want to be too cramped. The stock height is comfy for me but I want better grip pegs. I had the DP rear sets on my 1198s and it was extremely uncomfortable.

Not quite as tall but bad knee leaves me with the same question? Where is lowest setting compared to stock.

I actually have them set up on the higher mounting as I like to have a real tight position while riding.

I will have to compare and measure them against the stock set and get back to you both.

Nice quality pics too. I didn't like the price on the DP Retreats so went with a nice Gold set of Ducabike ones which are VERY adjustable! The tiny ass pegs are so wicked grippy its unreal too.

Agree on the Techspec pieces being a bit too large but im digging the look of just the knee pieces on there man! Wish they sold those two items separately so I could just get them alone.
Not much else I can actually do to my bike except those so will keep eyes out for a cheap set to only use knee parts.

I got a real good deal on these DP Rearsets. Real nice transaction for them from "DUCKYMAR".

They sell sheets of the material for the grips real cheap around $50 or so. You could make at least 3-4 sets of the knee grips easy with a sheet. I wouldn't mind trying the 3 different materials they have. The ones on mine are the Skake Skin material

amazing that you got the clear one to stay without peeling off or bubbles.

I wasted two of those on my last bike, and will try the carbon one next to see if it sticks any better.

Hey leftcoast32, what does the paper say in the bag in the upper right? I got the same bag with the wire bracket and screws, but no paper and no explanation on what it's used for. Does that paper offer any insight what it is?

Chris.
