Ducati Spacer Kits- Question

i cant figure why you don't want freeplay in your twistgrip, i know you don't need it with fly by wire but it feels quite normal to me, the same as every other bike.

Personal preference my friend, not everyone wants to be the same. Me, I like to ask for something and get a response when I ask for it, not to have to keep rolling on. I know myself and my bike well enough to know what's coming. Some people like the safety margin/become used to the 'slop' and use it to their advantage.

It's nice to have choices.

I have recently installed the spacers onto my 1199S (January 2018).

It has transformed the bike in terms of response and response at low speed. Before I was guessing where the throttle would come in and get it wrong on occasion. This would make the bike lurch a little and made me not too confident in low speed corners (10-30 mph range).

Overall it has improved the bike but beware, it takes a little getting used to. Once or twice I grabbed a little more throttle then I should have and ended up wheeling down the road like a "Sandton Yuppie" (Redneck with money and no taste).

The spacers do eliminate all the free play present when the throttle is at rest. The first time out it might feel a bit awkward because of the sudden response when you twist the grip, but it soon passes. It may offer an improvement when you're moving along in stop and go traffic and you're on and off the throttle. The action while downshifting (rev matching) also feels more precise as well. Everyone has there own opinion. The modification can easily be reversed and for thirty dollars you're not likely to lose any sleep over it if you're not satisfied.

Perhaps grease "F" in the lubricant chart... but don't hold me to it. I believe it's a Castrol product.

Its been superseded to another castrol product which isn't available in aus.
Used some marine/outdoor white grease instead nobody had white lithium in grease only spray.

If anyone in aus wants a kit im selling mine

How about Wurth? They have a presence in Australia. Their products aren't cheap but they're the only game in town in my location. The grease, chain lube, thread lockers, cleaning solvents, brake fluid, etc. that I use all come from them. They have a high-temperature joint grease that comes in a small tube and the description sounds similar to the product that was offered by Castrol.

I made my own spacers. cost $0 (not $65AUD!) and only took one beer to install.

I had some white grease I got from a hobby store which works fine.

The spacers only reall help with take off and down-shifting if you dont have auto-blipper.

Jaret Campisi used genuine spacers on his amazing build so they must be good.
You don't know who that is? I didn't either, I'd put a link to his utube stuff but that would only promote more poo.

Ducati spacers used his poo to cross promote the product I bet that's why Halo2 removed his, as an anti poo measure!
