Ducati Streetfighter V4 aftermarket exhausts

For some reason Austin Racing never has anything in stock. Its always a 4-8 week wait with them. They are older than Vandemon and have the same amount of employees. Yet Vandemon cranks out those exhausts like some 30 man operation . Meanwhile he has 7 people working for him. I am a Vandemon dealer and get all my Austin Racing exhausts through Motomummy since they are the direct importer for Austin Racing. As much as I love Austin racing (I have one on my own personal bike) I love Vandemon more ( I have one on my personal bike). Shipping is free. Top notch quality. If Its shipped to me in New York on a Thursday I get in delivered on Monday. If I order one for a customer in Arizona and its shipped on a Wed he gets it the following Wed. Right now Vandemon is charging half of what DHL is charging him because Australian post is backed up due to the corona virus. But once the shipping gets back to normal in hopefully weeks dealers and customers wont be charged half of what DHL charges him. But even with that extra $85 US dollar charge there is plenty of room to give a customer a discount.

I sold 6 Vandemons in the last two weeks and customers love them. The quality is amazing. And regarding the Vandemon for the Panigale V4 you get that extra carbon fiber to fill in the void your stock exhaust leaves. For the price you cant beat it. A lot of guys want akra because of the name. Vandemon has excellent performance at a much lower cost. One of the reasons Vandemon can keep the costs lower isnt because the quality is shoddy. Its because his over head is small. The US dollar is so much stronger against the aussie dollar and he doesnt price gauge. If anyone if interested shoot me a PM. Ive shipped them over seas to England. But if youre in New Zealand I worked out a plan with Mike regarding pricing. Shoot me a PM if youre in the US or overseas and I can give you pricing.
Hi Cycler, do you know of any pics of a V4 with the Vandemons on?, their site is a bit vague on how it really looks (certainly doesn't look as good as on a 1299/959).

I dont have any pics of the Vandemon on a V4. I spoke with Mike and asked him to get me other pics. The black bike in the pictures on his site is in the shop getting some work done to it. So he wont have better pics for a bit. These are the other pics he sent me of the exhaust being installed on the panigale V4. It shows the quality of the product. I had one pic of the exhaust installed from the side so you could see it but I deleted it by accident and cleared by deleted messages.

I am wondering if there’s any crossplay from the pani V4’s exhaust options, obviously the rear set and rear fender might be off ...

I just sold one of these last week to a guy in NJ. The only issue with this sc propect exhaust is there is no where to mount the license plate bracket. The top exhaust mounts where the tail tidy mounts on the right side. That top exhaust sits to the right of the tail. Its not in the middle. So you would have to take a new rage cycles fender eliminator kit. Then drill holes so you could mount the license plate bracket more to the left. I had to drill new holes in my new rage cycle fender eliminator 3 1/2 inches further away from the original holes because my license plate was 1/4 inch away from my vandemon undertail exhaust cans and the right and left of the license plate was slightly over each exhaust can. On new rage cycles website they showed their new undertail fender eliminator kit with the license plate bracket sitting perfectly between the exhaust cans. But they had an akra undertail exhaust which has the cans sitting wider apart. But from what I was told you can still keep the passenger brackets.

I'm really curious to know if Akra's offering mounts exactly the same. The SF V4 is suppose to be 10mm longer than a Pani V4 so I don't know whether those 10mm make a difference in mounting points and such.

All you have to do if go check the akra part number on ducatis website and see if they are the same for the SF and Panigale. If they are it makes no difference.

ah gotcha , didn’t even think about that , now after looking at the picture of the SC project it probably wouldn’t work out to well as you mentioned.

thanks !

Normally I would do it, but because it's a Ducati "exclusive" it doesn't show on their website. It was like that for the Pani V4 so I'm certain it'll be the same thing with the SF V4 also.

Here is a link to the exhaust. Look through the pics. You will understand more what I meant when I said the exhaust that under the tail is mounted to the right side. But i think its far enough where if you bought a fender eliminator kit that has a license plate bracket which mounts to it. You can drill new holes and move it over. Here are some pics of where my license plate was mounted on the NRC fender eliminator kit and where the original holes were. And where I drilled new holes and mounted it further away. In the pic showing my plate over the left can a bit but not so much over the right can was because the exhaust and the mounting brackets werent tightened. Once everything was tightened up my plate covered both exhaust cans. See how close the plate was to the cans? And where it sits now. And the other pics show where the original holes were and where I drilled new holes.
So I think making a license plate bracket fit for the SC Project exhaust wont be that difficult. I even have something in mind.

I just checked Ducatis website. The akra part numbers are different on both bikes. If you click configure and click accessories the exhausts come up with their part numbers.

I just did a little research on Ducati's website on the dimensions of the Street Fighter and Panigale V4. And if there are any members who can chime on this please do so if I am wrong regarding the mounting points for both exhausts . The overall length of the Street Fighter is not 10mm longer than the Panigale. The wheelbase on the Street Fighter is 58.6 inches long and the overall wheelbase length the Panigale V4 is 57.8 inches. Which means the wheelbase on the Street Fighter is 0.8 inches longer. The seat height on the Street Fighter is 33.3 inches and 32.9 inches on the Panigale V4. A difference of 0.4 inches.

Now Im no engineer but I would think Ducati for cost purposes would keep as many interchangeable parts the same on as many bikes as possible to keep costs down. As well as making sure the mounting points on were the same. Unless the engine cases are different because the Panigale has a counter rotating crankshaft while the Street Fighter has a rearward rotating crankshaft I dont see why a Panigale exhaust wouldnt fit. And after looking on the website I found the difference between the Akra Panigale exhaust and the Street Fighter Akra exhaust . The exhaust with the circle around the brackets is for the Panigale V4. Im guessing those brackets are used with the heat shields. The Akra exhaust for the Street Fighter doesnt have them. So Im guessing any slipon exhaust made for a Panigale V4 will fit a Street Fighter. And both the Panigale and Street fighters have the same stock measurements where a slip on would connect. Stock measurement is 2x1x1 where as the Akras thickness on the full system where the exhaust cans (slipons) connect is 2x2x1 on both the Panigale and Street Fighter Akra full system. In a nutshell I think if someone wanted an aftermarket full system other than the termi 4 USCITE for their street fighter that was made for a Panigale and didnt want to wait for companies to make them for the Street Fighter. All you would need to do is shave off those brackets.

here is a slip on from Aarow so there are differences between a slip on and full system were the piping connection to header is located. if Vandemon is going to make something it will need to replicate this.

Cycler, you posted the same picture twice.. this is the SF AKRO system. View attachment 30940View attachment 30940
Yep you right. I did a screen shot. Then emailed myself both exhausts. Then circled the brackets in my phone. Emailed it again to myself. Downloaded the pics. When I was attaching them to this post I wasnt wearing my glasses and clicked on the same exhaust twice only one was circled.

Just curious how many 2020 Street fighter owners and future owner are actually debating on getting the Akra full titanium system? Correct me if Im wrong. I was told when either installed by the dealer or you install it the dealer has to have the bike and download something into the map. Personally I think the price is steep at $5406. And even if the dealer gave you a 10% discount it would be $4865.40 + tax. So if youre in PA you would pay $291.92 in taxes so the total would be $5157.32. And in NY the tax would be $425.72 making the total $5291.12

I have a buddy from out of state (forum member too and some most would know who he is if I wrote his name but I dont think he wants people to know his business) who is thinking of buying either the 2020 Panigale V4 or Panigale V4S. Since I bought 3 bikes from this one dealer by me, sent him customers ( 1 ducati and 2 BMWs) as well as just sent him 4 guys last month who all bought 2020 BMW S1000RR's at the same time and all 4 got good discounts. I told them to go straight to the owner , tell him I sent them and also sent him a text letting them know they were coming. My buddy who wants the 2020 Panigale V4 or V4S, was given $1700 off off MSRP on either the 2020 Panigale V4 or 2020 Panigale V4S and $4750 for the full titanium Akra exhaust as long as my dealer did the install.

For the guys with who bought the 2020 Street Fighter or are going to buy one. Yet are steering away from full Akra titanium system because of cost. What kind of pricing would convince you to buy that exhaust for your street fighter? Then bring it to your dealer, have him install it and if need be do the download that I was told about. I for one would be willing to pay anywhere between $4600-4700 out the door on it. Even that is a bit more than I would like to spend but its better than 10% off plus tax or if someone got lucky and the dealer gave them 15% off of MSRP. I would like to know what kind of download is needed if the Akra is installed. Correct me if I am wrong but if a full titanium Vandemon or any other full system is installed I dont think a download is done.
