These bikes just have to many issues and to hell with all you guys saying he can't afford one. Ducati's have more excuses for being broke down or hot or just for track riding. I am tired of you guys bashing people just for telling you how they feel. O that's right it's the first year so it's gonna have some bugs lol.
LOL Why the hell did you buy one then? LOL

Another Troll with 44 messages...he did his homework

yep, the BMW connecting rod issue didn't come out until 2012, and BMW handled that whole thing miserably with the owners, instead of doing what aprilia did on the batch of bad rsv4 engines and replace with new engines, bmw did it on the cheap, and is letting the techs at the dealership do a 9 hr repair job on a new bike.

Well at least the Ducatis are still in one piece. How many gsxr 600's are there that got tossed down the road with even less miles than the average ducati. I read somewhere that the average life expectancy of a GSXR 600 was 3 -6 months. That would be probably about 2-3000 miles given average yearly mileage on sports bikes.

As for my experiece with the 1199 (my first Ducati by the way) I am averaging the same number of miles per month as I did on my GSXR750. After 5 years I put 40,000 miles on the Suzuki. I know many have done more on theirs but I don't ride to work, strictly for pleasure.

This guy has four posts and they're all negative. He's either an S1000rr owner trying to get under everyone's skin or he's pissed that he bought the wrong bike....... again? But for the sake of playing devils advocate, you currently own two Ducs and have owned four over the years. Strange that your first, second or third didn't prevent you from getting the last one? Do us all a favor and sell both of your Ducs to someone who will enjoy them then head on over to the CBR forum.

Hey rm4two, some people just do not learn from their experiences. Those who do not learn from history are destined to repeat it.

Myself, I think he is a troll who really has never owned a Ducati (probably does have the Honda though) and is just another hater.

Funny story from Saturday night. I'm at the Paviliions along with a zillion other bikes and mine is parked right in row with all of the UJM sportbikes.
This Dad is walking with his two sons (5 or 6 years old). They are just walking by each bike looking at them. They come to mine, the Dad stops, he bends down, points to my bike and says to his kids, "That one's Italian" and proceeds to point out the exhaust, swingarm, shock, so on and so forth. Then they continued on down the row never stopping at another bike.

That will never happen to the hater on the Honda will it?

I almost made the trip this past Sat. I'm going to try my best to make it this coming Sat.

Spot on . I actually sold my S1000rr so I could buy a bike that was a little more reliable so went back to a Ducati .
I have a owned 6 Ducatis all with zero problems the same cant be said for both my BMW's or the RSV4 that I had .

BAN THIS FARKER:mad::mad:
These small penis new Ducati owners are giving us a bad name. Not to mention the shitz...

I bought an 1199, loved it for the reasons we all do. Hate it for not being quiet and cool under the seat but cant wait to hear it run through the gears. Wont stop me from buying a ZX14R or another Harley and I promise none of them will get more than a couple thousand miles per year doing what I like to do -- riding on two wheels.

I have owned many different brands of bikes and wouldn't hesitate to buy another including Ducati's, Harley's, Yamaha's, Honda's, Suzuki's & KTM's.

I can honestly say that I have been very fortunate to have very few problems with all of the brands. My last Ducati needed a lot of modifications to the fueling, which in fairness, I feel should have been corrected as it was a third year model run. My Harley had zero problems and the service provided by my HD dealer was unmatched by any other dealer I have ever patronized. So your stupid Harley Davidson comment (which is common on ALL non-HD forums) is unwarranted, worthless and just shows your ignorance.

This 1199 has IMHO great fueling and I have no plans to change the fueling or exhaust. And outside of some carbon additions, I plan on leaving it as-is. And frankly, I'm really happy about that.

The only thing I can pick on with this bike is the heat. Now I'm in Florida, so outside of the guys in Phoenix & maybe southern California, most probably don't notice it. Supposedly Ducati is working on a fix for that and if they do then I'll be very happy.

The main problem I have with the OP and Nikt is that you guys don't actually elaborate on specifically what you don't like about the bike. You're just generically complaining about Ducati. While I agree that Ducati needs to live up to its claims at this level of bike, if you are that unhappy with your 1198, just sell the blood thing and move on.

Since you don't own the 1199 it's not appropriate that you are trashing it in a 1199 forum.

How about posting a pic of your 1198 and you Diavel in this thread and prove us wrong... Hell, you might even get an offer.

Why in the world would anyone go through the effort to sign up, do the whole email verification, leave your self open to who knows how many marketing and spams from that, to say BAD things about motorcycles? I might call HDs Hardley Drivables, but that is in fun, and they are works of art. That is the closest disparaging thing I have to say about any motorcyle. 2 wheels, goes fast, thats all I need.

I keep low miles because I have other vehicles. Also, to the hater, he probably bought a Fiat Abarth.

Well now we know why so many low miles lol instead of riding them there parked with a bunch of other bikes just sitting there. Troll in a parking lot

Flynn, you are on a Panigale forum, how do you not expect a bias response from anyone. Its our choice to buy these.

So the thing is, you are here bitching, you apparently have the bike, and you are trashing it? So you paid $17k+ for a motorcycle I take you are not happy with and you are taking it out here? You are a contradiction.

Are you this Flynn?

I received mine in May, currently only 800+ miles. I have no time to ride it with work and family, plus the Beemer, cars, etc. But I couldn't love it any more if I tried.

Bought mine in September, almost 1,000 miles on it. Currently it's my only street bike. Ride daily (weather permitting).
