Can you nutters that track your bikes please advise me on the wheelie control?
I ride on the street in race mode with the wheelie control set at 3, if I reduce that to zero (intervention) will the front wheel come up quicker ? Will it be a bit violent and unmanageable?
I ride quite enthusiastically (when going straight) and in mode 3 there is no sudden lifting of the wheel
So I'm asking if it will now become a bit happy or if I ride the gas like a gentleman will it keep the wheel on the ground? Or will it just lift its head
I weigh 73 kg and it's a base 1299

I love the 1299. 2016 and haven't updated to the evo software but I am considering purely because I find the wheelie control totally unpredictable and now ride with it off. I have tried it at differing levels and was finding increasing levels of unpredictability associated with supposed higher levels of intervention. With it off at Least I know what I'm going to get when I crack the throttle open. I'm 67 kgs so the dammed thing wheelies everywhere

Considering evo upgrade as I know it's supposed to improve wheelie control as well as TC

Sorry that's not particularly helpful, but I suppose at least I've found that turning it off doesn't transform the bike into an unridable rodeo bull.

Unfortunately I feel it's still unpredictable on anything but flat level ground. Any sort of incline or decline be prepared for the unexpected. It's surprised me both uphill and downhill but never on level ground.

Yeah , I thought it was just me . It seems to do its job over 120kmh , but under I've had it rear unexpectedly , or intervene way to much. Over 120 it generally comes up a foot then down and up a foot then down until speed eventually stops the wheelie.
Would be handy to understand how it works , does DWC interact with DTC ? Cause I wonder if going out of the factory default is not helping ie DWC 3 and DTC 7 for example.

For me and I weigh 230 with gear. I use DWC 3 on the street. Track I use 3 as well. DWC on 2 is just to abrupt. I agree it can be a bit unpredictable up or down hills. But it is manageable on 3.

Had the thing out today, set the DWC on 1, now it just feels right, its better for me, yes it does lift the front wheel but it's predictable and controllable I was nervous at first thinking I'm going over the back (done that on a scrambler before and it's a mess)
Bit like the superbikes from my old age like the 1999 R1 and 2000 blade I had.

I am just not used to all this new tech I think.
