After getting lower on each trackday I eventually hit Silverstone on Pirelli slicks which allowed abit of extra lean. Finally the elbow touched down, but the photographer was crap at capturing it (the pic was the best shot he got)! Iv now got a set of elbow sliders for my next outing :D

AWESOME DUDE!

I saw somewhere that Evol had some scuff marks on his leathers at the elbow as well which is great for him on the Beemer! Keep up the great work and hopefully you can use a GoPro on board one day and capture it all for yourself!

I did use a Gopro all day but only facing out the screen,I uploaded it on Youtube if ur interested. Im on track again this week so will play about with camera mountings and see what I can come up with.

I will confirm that Evol was dragging his elbow in turn one at Jennings this weekend. I was behind him when he did it. Tried to follow him, but on a trashed front tire, and pushing the front, I backed off. I will tell y'all the same thing I told Evol, "the BMW is a fantastic bike, definitely worth the accolades it has received." He is definitely fast on that bike, running 23s this weekend. Following him, I was able to dip into the 25s, and if the DDA would get every lap, I know I had at least one 24 on there.

Awesome! I actually finally did it too. (Gunny, I posted it on FB). I don't have a pic of mine either, but I do have a GoPro footage screenshot of when I managed it. Leon (Ljuice26) was right behind me. Quick little touch and freaked myself out a bit lol

Yeah Evol thats where I saw it on FB man! EVen commented too I think, but then again I forget what I did several minutes ago with this friggin TBI. :(

Congrats to you all on this great moment in life! LOL.
Will we be seeing you on the grid next to Marquez next man?

Guess what guys. I think I am actually taking out my bike this weekend for the first time this season so wish me luck! lmfao.

SWEET!!! but guys don't realize, if you on a track and dragging knees...you can pretty much drag your elbow, its all body positioning.

Some guys stick their knee out so far just to touch down and their head is still straight over their gas tank and it looks retarded...slide your ass over, put your head to the side of your upper fairing (as if looking directly into mirror, I sometimes have my dead to the side even past my handle bar), key is to then have your spine in a straight line (ass and head lined up). Most stick that knee out but actually don't hang off.

With this proper body posture your bike is a lot more stable (you can then properly use your knee to gauge your lean angle/ edge of tire) and you're actually using your body (lean) and inadvertent hand/grip inputs to stare the bike.

At this point if you have a nice sweeper and you're knee is down, depending on your riding style and comfort hanging off your elbow should be right at, or on or inside your knee that's dragging...so you CAN make you elbow touch down if you're comfy..I know this ;-). Exciting, isn't it?

Love the fact guys are trying to drag an elbow. I was at a trackday recently where a kid was trying hard for the corner the camera guy was in. He was soooooo slow in entry and setting up...

Point is that the "look" is cool, but it's how well you get around the track that counts. Looking good for the hero wall is super awesome, but working on craft is still the key.

Not saying anyone is slow or anything, but just making sure that people who want that picture are still working on getting better and getting faster.
