Anyone know if they sell a chip I can attach to the cable that controls the E dampener or if I could turn it off in a tune. My stock Electronic Ohlins Dampener has failed and I get major Speed wobble, having Ohlins rebuild it but I’m thinking about giving another Dampener a shot. Is it possible to run a mechanical dampener on the 1299s Panigale?

Did the damper it’s fail or did the damper ECM fail? Either way if you want to run a manual damper, no problem, you will need to put a resistor plug in the harness or you can source a replacement ECM. For dampers I like Mupo but any manual damper is more than adequate. Here is the Ohlins Electronic damper with module, Ohlins manual, fork mount and the Mupo

Have you set the suspension to your weight? If not you need to do that 1st.

Yeah i did, ended up serving the whole thing and had catastrophic failure, ill be getting mechanical ohlins Suspension either way aftermarket ohlins is supposedly better built then oem ohlins.

Are you sure? A properly set up suspension, I’m talking getting the F/R sag to something like 35/30, and you should not get massive speed wobbles. Most of the time you get wobbles because the rear is too soft and the front wheel is not planted on the ground, it’s skimming. Experts will tell you when the suspension is set properly for you, you don’t need but 2 max 3 clicks on steering damper.

Yup I had an ohlins tech do it for me Im having forensics look into it but I know my bikes.

and im mind blown as well.

i have mixed feeling on EC suspension because it relies so much on electricity… even ohlins guy and other bike mechanics told me go with mechanical. The reason I didnt is because I have the s model, didn’t see the need.

I have over 15k in this bike everything was done to tailor it to me, for track or street use.
the wobble was so violent even the rear wobble and in 2 seconds i was ejected.
tires where set by ohlins guy too, and they where 2 month old supercorsa
