Enclosed trailer or open trailer

I have looked at this, other than borrowing my buddies, this is the only one I would have room for.

my enclosed trailer rolls right into my garage and i keep two of the bikes in it. just push it around by hand!

Well since i couldn't get the enclosed trailer done before my trip to Daytona for service in the morning i went with a Front Wheel Chock, Canyon Dancer 2 and some ratchet straps and loaded up in the back of my truck.. God sure hope this works.... Any suggestions how tight i should go on the front straps? I have the Base 2013, NO S so no Ohlins to worry about.

Ideally you are not supposed to use Canyon Dancers on the 1199 because of the potential for damage to the ride by wire throttle barrel. If not the Pit Bull trailer restraint, a strapless front chock like a Condor or Baxley is preferred. The throttle barrel is a fairly pricey part, and of course for safe operation it needs to work properly.

On occasion I've used Canyon Dancers on my 1199 without a problem and simply tied the front down only tight enough to compress the front end 1/2 to 2/3s of its full travel. When you tie down relatively loosely, it is a good idea to wrap some duct tape around the tie down hook and the end of the Canyon Dancer to make sure the tie down doesn't become unhooked.

i couldn't make my mind up either

then , as we will be traveling europe and hopefully with a couple of buddies i went for this:

it will take 4 bikes plus some gear.. a friend of mine will use it to do some deliveries of bikes he maintains...

i'm installing a gas sprung ramp to avoid having to do the risky step up.
it's a benz so should keep its value pritty well..
