Hi Guys,

Just installed CRG RC2 shorty levers on a 2015 1299s.
The CRG's are missing the pin that presses the switch, since then cant fire up the engine in gear, only in N.

Anything I missed ? cant believe all the Pani owners who swapped the levers deal with this issue...

I think something is missing. I can't speak to the RC2's but I do have the CRG shorty continuous strand carbon levers and they included what is called a "Floating Switch Actuator" which is a separate little billet arm that goes into the lever assembly and actuates that plunger.

It is safety to not allow to start the engine when kickstand is down and you are in gear. Since you are missing the pin, the bike doesn't know if the clutch is engaged. Try with kickstand up and in the mean time call CRG and ask them to send you the pin or the right adapter.

I installed the CRG levers on my 1199 some time ago and didn't have any issues. What's missing... the small tab shown in the attached that engages the clutch switch? That's odd... you didn't have any problems with the brake lever, correct? That too has a small tab that actuates the brake lights.

No problem on the brake side, Yes I guess im missing the tab that engages the clutch switch.

Contacted CRG about it... waiting for their reply.

I had the same issue with their carbon lever. They ended up sending me an updated version that fixed the problem. There was an additional feature that kept the switch actuator pushed to one side so it engaged the switch better.

The pin for the plunger needed to be moved onto my crg from the original levers. That was it, all other functioning exactly the same as the original brembo levers.
