Ever Red/Ducati-endorsed Extended Warranty in the US

For those in the US, I'm considering a Ducati-endorsed extended warranty for my new V4S, and was hoping to learn how many years of Ever Red you were offered at the time you purchased your new bike, and what did you pay?

The US Ducati site is pretty vague about length of available coverage...

You get 3 years with the extended. Do NOT purchase it at time of sale because it begins immediately while your original 2 year warranty is still in effect. Purchase the extended when the original is near the end. The dealer will likely not make sure you understand that unless you ask or they’re a “good” dealer. I was scammed and canceled it.

See if there are other options available to you. It's an expensive and very overpriced extended warranty. I'm not sure if western is even in business or an option anymore but i had gotten my 5yr plan for $600 back in the day. This was offered by a ducati dealer instead of the ever red. Had to use it a few times without any issues. My example may not be a good one since i got mine 9yrs ago but I'd still look at other options.

Also, i don't see how an extended warranty can start while you're in the 2yr manufacturer warranty. This sounds fraudulent as hell. If it was like insurance or something then sure but it's not insurance. Shouldn't matter when you buy the extended warranty. I bought mine day 1 n i was covered for 7yrs total. I have the same thing for my 2017 dragster which i still have 2 more years of warranty coverage.

I got an extended warranty which extended the factory 24 month to 48 month and was maybe $500-600. I'm not too sure and I can't readily find the paper work. I've since moved and God knows where it ended up.

Recent discussions with a dealer have them offering a 4 yr. warranty (following the factory 2 yr. warranty) for a cost of $1900 USD.
Has anyone else purchased such a warranty here in the US, and if so, what did it cost you?

In Nov 22 when I purchased my PV4S I paid $1245 AUD for 2 year ever red extended warranty. Glad I did as it's paying for my 2nd replacement water pump as we speak.
