Weekend Job Writeup:
I purchased a used 19’ Panigale V4 Speciale. I really enjoy it so far and added a few bits of armor to it because I plan to ride it weekly.
I went with Evotech for axel sliders and radiator guards. They are well made and include everything you need. Instructors from their website were helpful but Lego picture style. Everything was pretty straight forward. This was my first time taking off the fairings on the bike.. yikes! Easy job but many bolts. I miss the Dzuz quick fasteners. Plenty of videos on Youtube to help with hunting for some of the hidden fairing bolts. Super easy job.
Do all Ducs leak oil? I discovered I had classic oil leak in the V.. likely the water pump issue. The bike was also over-filled by the dealership. The salesman’s “master mechanics” serviced the bike before the sale. I drained a half liter and it was at the top of the full line! I took out some more stopped at the middle of the min/max lines. Maybe this will slow the leak?
Also added an external trickle charger lead to the battery. The cord was not super long so I routed with other cables to the throttle. Easy and re-used the existing rubber wire ties.
Parts List:
1) PRN013861-013862-03 - Evotech Ducati Panigale V4 Speciale Radiator Guard Set (2018-2020) (PRN013861-013862-03)

After buttoning it up I blasted off to Big Sur for sunset. What an amazing ride and view.
Take care friends. Enjoy our rides and don’t be afraid to wrench on them!
