Anyone else have this issue? I'm racing a 959 and my exhaust and thr lower portion of the side fairing scrapes at full lean. Tempted to raise the rear but don't want to mess up the geometry.

Thanks!
Jim

Just curious, what is the angle of "full lean?" Theoretically all of it will scrape depending on the lean. ;P
In all seriousness, are you banging it on bumpy stuff or smooth stuff leaning? I just just did a suspension tune and I can't believe the difference in the feel at the apex hitting humps. There is some physics, level magic, going on there I haven't figured out, but I like it.

Fair question. I haven't gotten it to the unfortunate 90 degree level hahaha.

The worst scrapes do happen in one particular corner. I get a liiiiitle scraping going on here and there but the time its a genuine problem (heavy scrapes) is one particular on camber corner at the bottom of a hill (read - suspension compressed while at lean).

I had Boulder Motorsports take a look at the suspension over the winter and haven't taken it out since (cold here). They found i had waaaay too little sag in the front and mildly too little in the back. So if anything I'd expect this issue to be worse now that we softened the front up a little. I suspect I could inch up up the compression damping but I was reaching out here to see if this is a problem others had experienced and solved. If the solution is an adjustable suspension dog bone, for instance...

I've been singing the praises of Dave Moss recently. He is a true suspension whisperer and works over video chat. I just did a long distance session with him. He's put my bike right at many track events I've been to over the years in Calif. and he's always made very very significant improvements. The best money spent on a bike upgrade bar-none IMHO. Ping him see what he says. Really nice Ausi, lives in Nor Cal.
PS. Most Ducati mechanics (don't want to insult anyone here) I've worked with can fix anything except the suspension set up. Dave, just does suspension. That's his deal. [email protected]

The V2 has a few extra mm of shock travel and reviewers rave about it's handling. This extra bit is added to the shock. Anyone know if they changed anything with the front side of the V2 (head angle, trail, rake, etc? Any reason you couldn't do this with a 959?

If the shock has extra travel it’s not because of what is circled in that pic. The 959 Corse comes with a different steering head bushings I have some for sale in the classifieds “24° rake kit”

Hey @JimStark93 what do the shock side plates that are on you bike look like? If they are like those in the picture it’s more progressive than it has to be. Could swap em out maybe? That would help keep it from dragging. I recommend you contact @tadashi tho and maybe he will share his experience with it and his cure. There’s a good vid on here of his dragging

I've done max lean, flipped, then max lean on the other side. My pipe never touched the ground. I tore up lots of other stuff but pipe never touched.

Yes! I am running the OE linkage which *is* progressive. I've seen a lot of posts saying flat is the way to go but haven't gotten that done just yet.

I think the reasoning behind this is that you’ll have to run a stiffer spring with the flat link and it’ll be linear over the shock stroke. But you’ll lose small bump compliance, which is important for the street

I have extra progressive/flat plates and the shorter turnbuckle that I could part with

You are light maybe it just needs more preload? Did you check both sag measurements before you went to the track?
