The problem is the dongle
Thanks Andy. I guess I need to call the dismantler. I just hope the bike is not in pieces.
Just be glad Andy1199 isn't YOUR doctor telling you this!
It's pretty straightforward, the up map dongle can be used to upload or back down the ECU Map. So the first bike had the slip on map (racing) then the dealer would have unloaded that map using the slip on dongle and uploaded the full system map (racing evo). The problem is he needs to switch back to the standard map on the original bike to allow the dongle to work on the new bike.
When I had my full system put on, they couldn't load the new map without the slip on dongle first to unload the slip on map.
The dongles unlock the map on the ECU one time only so to change any map the permission has to be put back on the dongle if you like.
Truth is, yes the full system is better, smoother, less lumpy but that's all virtually map that does that, I guess they don't want the racing evo map being put on bikes with standard pipes, although that would probably work fine and improve it greatly.
So one map on, one map off gedit??
If you are going to install the slip ons first you must use the key for the slips ons to get the map setting for your slips on set.
Once you purchase the racing pipe to add to the slip ons you must use the SLIP ON KEY to remove the SLIP ON MAP.
Then install the RACING PIPE MAP to get the full racing map.
if you ever sell the exhaust system, for some reason, you must REMOVE THE MAP and give to whomever buys it so they can have access to the MAP on their bike.
make sense? This is the way I understand it.
I hoe this helps everyone
