Extended Swing Arm Shock and Spring Rate

I was quoted $8k from Boulder for the Pierobon dual sided swinger. .... no am I paying that.

I got it for just under $7k

After that I found out about 6 months ago they were $3k….Cycler (member here) is looking for a way to order them through a connection Germany or something where he gets less of a ‘.... you’ price…little consolation to me, might work out for you guys who want one.

That’s for the single sided swing arm though.

I didnt see the Corse version for the V4….looking at the job they do on the factory one I like what I see, looks like they are using a CNC welder and they brace it well.

Corse parts can only be ordered from people/teams that are racing V4s and have been giving access to order them straight from Ducati Corse. Superbike Unlimited can get you Corse parts I believe. The only official Ducati dealer in the US I know of who is authorized to sell Corse parts is AMS Ducati, though I'm sure HSBK/Warhorse Ducati is also one now.

It’s handwelded in a jig

When i was looking for options for replacing my bent one i found one from them, they were advertising on eBay, pretty sure they were asking 2800, this was June/July timeframe.

If I ever follow through w this, I just plan on going to Borgo Panigale and getting it directly from them. Make a trip of it.

Also the crux will be finding a suspension tuner and rider (no offense) that’ll be able to extract the full potential of that bit of kit. In fact, on the street I’d imagine it’ll handle worse and be slow to turn and react.

The F-18 swingarm (Corse Swing arm built by Pierobon) I went with for my current project was 12k with the carbon bits and chain guides. The V4 Corse arm is very similar looking and construction is the same. The welded sheet metal design is quite a bit lighter than the cast arm. Visually, I think the modified V4 arm looks a bit strange. As far as availability goes, a check will get you anything you want from just about anywhere.for just about anything I’ve never had issues getting Corse parts. At the end of the day, any competent CNC shop can make you all the “Corse” parts you want without the Ducati tariff the term is highly overrated.

@cycler can get Pierobon parts? I’ve been dying to get the front stand but I am to cheap to buy it from Boulder Motor Sports.

From what I remember, the Corse arm is engineered from the ground up so longitudinal and torsional rigidity is factored compensatory to the additional length. Not sure how this works with the sectioned stock arm. I have to assume multi axis rigidity would need to be factored in the suspension setup. That extended arm is for sure going to flex and twist with some noticeable difference

Cause your a troll that has to respond to every post here on the board and the responses from you is absolute garbage nonsense. Maybe hangout in the "Lounge" section much better fit for you.

Why don’t I have any business chiming in???

So since you have everything covered on these bikes please explain to everyone what a baseline setup should be for the stock swingarm? What about swingarm pivot with eccentric pivot? How about ride height numbers or shock setup? We already know you won't have any that info.

Hypocrisy is a ...............

Yes I can get them. I contacted Pierobon and they told me that Boulder Motor Sports is their direct importer. So I am a Boulder Motor Sports dealer. I can find out how much it costs if you want?

I could be wrong. But it may have been a swing arm that someone sent in to Boulder Motor Sports who then sent it to Pierobon to get extended. If you send you swing arm in to get extended I believe it retails for $4200 and if you buy a new one its $7200.

Yeah and I’ve had enough aerospace Job Shops as clients over the years that owe me some favors that I’m pretty sure I can get anything made out of any material, abs the scanning technology is so accurate now that they can just 3D scan a part, modify it in any way, have everything line up within very very close machining tolerances, and do it in any material imaginable.
