I received 2 fairing pieces for each side which is suppose to aid in higher speed aerodynamics. Has anybody tried to mount them? How do they look? It would appear to make the bike look wider at the clip ons which I like but not sure how easy they go on.

Thanks --

Those pieces are called the "Aero Kit". Pretty sure no one has mounted them since it's been reported they scratch your paint and don't look the best either. There are a few pictures and videos floating around of bikes with them mounted.

Yeah I'm definitely going to skip it on mine. doesn't make sense when it doesn't do anything for the looks and on gains a couple of km/h on top speed.

i have them installed. dont care about scratches. as the time has come after intensive use of the duc, there has more paintjob to be done.
i think duc looks better without aero-kit but its designd to make the bike faster.

Hey.. do you have more detailed pics of how the Bike Tower attaches to the 1199?

btw.. the aero kit looks okay fitted, I prefer without, but it's definitely not as hideous as some make it to be.

TIA

at biketower.de there is a video that shows the function of the lift.
you have to cut a small pice out of the duc. but thats easy to do.

i had a similar lift for the s1000rr. but this one is much better quality (and matches the colour)

Ahh... ok.. I was looking for that cut out in your pic.. but you can't really see it properly from that other angle.

that picture of my bike was before the cut, thats why, sorry. here is a new one with cut.
